I love you . You know that. You are an old old friend of mine besides the point that I have never met you. . You will always be a little girl to me and I will always be your little friend you are so special to me kristine
Brian (BPK) was watching this vid the other day as I was telling him about our discussion on poetry and rhythm. He said it was good, so I am glad I finally got to watching it. I am never sure if I want to talk about your production techniques or your verse, as both are engaging and impressive. I like how you told this, both "on paper" and on the screen. And on a lighter note, I adore you for sipping wine out of a goblet as you read!
@sonofwalt BPK...who is he and thank him very much on my behalf will you...plizz.
And thanks for your compliment re the written word versus visuals...yes...wine is always pleasant at the end of a day....the story of this is...I spent 2 days making the video...for it to CRASH and diSappear from my puter. I was so fed up I poured a glass of wine...turned on Photobooth...and just sat there...looking here and there...and posted it...!!
@Poemsapennyeach Love it! BPK is my boyfriend. I got inspired to read in his studio recently. Oh yes, the one with the keyboard in the fore ground and the Billy Collins poems that inspired our prose/ poetry discussion. :)
..you really are a great story teller..sad story though, I was a little shocked because indeed I experienced a similar story but it was not the bride that died..it was the guy just before marriage..a tragedy!
Hmm why does this remind me of the people I saw today... 5 woman dressed like 1930's show girls walking down main street. And I had no camera with me!
@xyzllii You are welcome! And thank you for the comment on my music video. David is here and we were watching some poetry online and I mentioned this one again cause I liked it a lot. So I have come back for a second helping.
"it's just a little ti-et, I'll have to diet" -this sad tale is one of your bestest uses of this genre, so far - you do so well.
I hope the story's not true.
The poem, the editing, the background, the wine prop, the sparkling eyes and I must say, madam, you are truly looking splendid - must be all that dieting
@liz1060 Thanks Liz...the secret of the 'lovely' aspect I have found out...is MORE lighting is more complimentary than LESS lighting...it bleaches out the decades of suffering and turmoil....haha..!!
A sad tale. Life is like that sometimes. I liked how you presaged the ending with 'as cattle called for stolen young Their howl of loss and grief a nightmare in the air' And from life on our farm I know that animals feel loss as well as we do. I like your editing and how it meshes together with the tower in back, the flickering spots, the glass of wine and your wonderful delivery. Interesting vid.
@Idlinfarm Thanks Ida...I hate it when the cows ...or sheep for that matter...call for their young...the cows go on for 3 days or so...and it was meant to link with the loss of the family of the Bride...
I love the way the sound bounced from left speaker to right speaker. Sad as the story is. . .I'm in a happy mood today. . .So allow me to say that your eyes look beautiful in this video! -Steve-
@OceanTownPictures Oh thank you....you know ...I am beginning to think I look better without makeup...not that I ever wore that much...but....Yes...I was unsure about the floating sound...but decided to go with it..
Oh my. Heartbreaking. I always think of the loss of possibilities when someone dies at the dawn of a new life. Somehow it just seems so much worse than those who have already had their chance for happiness. You framed it in such a way as to remove oneself a bit from the loss, yet still feel it. Beautifully written. I like the Eiffel Tower behind you too.
I know, that was the 'sad' part. Sort of......The sad part was that the woman was killed. No wedding , no cake.

Really good poem Cous. Wonderfully descriptive.
Ending a bit sad though after all that trouble........
She could have gone to the wedding and eaten lots of cakes...no?

@alleiaegeria Hey...there was no wedding...!

Very creative with your face and background images offering a kind of counterpoint or silent commentary to your "Real Life Poem". Nice work.
