Hi! I'm from Terrassa, close to Barcelone (Spain). Is it possible to know easily what is the difference between an American Reed Organ, an harmonium and a melodeon organ? I think that in Europe all of them are called harmonium...
Very well done. This was the first time I ever heard something by Arthur Bird. I was so taken by it that I ordered it - from the Library of Congress, which has the only existing copy of it, evidently.
Bird is one of those forgotten composers who wrote wonderful music but was just overshadowed by the the giants of the day.
Any chance I could get a copy of this piece by Bird directly from you? As I live in the UK it would be easier than going to the library of Congress. And did you just get this one piece or did you get the whole of Opus 37?
Very beautiful composition, which I associate with the American spirit .... :-) Excellent performance, using an interesting musical instrument :-) Where should I look for this song score?

This reminds me of Onkel Reinhart's Accordion Hour on the old radio Station WRFK.

Just superb! You can tell that she really knows how to control the harmonium to its fullest artistic advantage.

Is this one of the super rare concert model 1400 pressure instruments by M and H?

No, it's one of their later organs that that. Probably a Liszt organ.

I realized as soon as I posted that it wasnt a 1400. Its a late 86K, F-compass...similar to a Liszt. What a great sound!
