u said u could at 6:33 ... my moped takes for every to switch to 2nd ear but goes extremely fast once it hits 2nd gear... how could i keep it in 2nd gear?
I am about the same size as you and I am trying to find a new exhaust. I have been looking at 1977 mopeds.com (thanks for the website) and I like what I see. Would you recommend something for a Streetmate r. The Imperial Blitz, The Bi-turbo, or the techno bullet. I want to gain a little speed, but dont want anything over $175. Thanks
Check out the Tecno Bulet and the A55 Carb Upgrade kit (A55)... a good combo for extra speed at a very affordable price... also think about getting a 28 tooth rear sprocket for even more speed (but not if you live in a hilly area!)
Lance, i really want to know, how do you get registration for your mopeds if you modify every single one? I have tomos A3 1987 in awesome shape,i would like to put new exhaust pipe, but i heard that by putting custom exhaust pipe down and original back on when you go to tehnical review, you could damage screw holes and then you cannot put the exhaust pipe back on, so i wonder how do you go through tehnical review with those modifications?
Nice pipe ;) It looks really easy to change it, because the engine is out in the open. I have a scooter-style moped and it's hard to do almost anything, because you have to remove all the plastic. :(
It must be nice driving with gears instead of a CVT like mine has. :D
I just watched another of your videos and it's actually a 2-speed automatic or something :) Well it's still better than mine. xD Also in Denmark where I live, we are only allowed to go 30km/h on a moped :( Is there a moped speed limit in montreal? :D
What would be the best exhaust if I just want more top speed? And would I have to do anything if I placed a smaller sprocket and added a 70cc kit on it? Also any others tips for speed gain?
i have a moped called amg nitro(sachs madass)it tops at 7071km,we should do a moped ride sometime,i wouldnt know how to start it,ive seen some guyes hanging on some corner lot in lachine with some mopeds,i rode past with my bike and we knodded heads,a nice long ride around the island,
Lance, what year is your streetmate? I have a 2006 as well as my friend, and both on their VIN stickers say A35 engine, but people are telling me that ALL Streetmate have the a55.
did u change the exhaust gasket when gettin new exhaust? they're only good for 1 seal like 95% of the time. also, watch out for the exhaust studs, they suck and the might break. also watch out for the stock exhaust mounting bracket on the bike. i had to re weld mine because the exhausts we're running are much heavier that stock. i think that ur exhaust mounting bracket is bolted to your frame no?
Yeah I use a new gasket each time if I have one... This pipe is much lighter then the stock pipe. The mounting bracket is mounted to the frame... I had to gring the mounting bracket on the pipe itself because of my rear shocks. The swing arm was rubbing...
that bracket coming from the exhaust expansion chamber, the top hole, drill it off set a little bit and tighten it up a bit. quite funny you didnt spend the money for an after market air filter, you did what i did, drilling holes, in the same exact spot and same size. ha. :) i love my streetmate R
I did buy a Uni Pod Filter... its pretty loud so I go back aforth sometimes... The modded airbox creates too much vibration... the Uni Pod filter is too loud... ARGH! I will be posting a video highlighting air filters very soon... I just got pulled over by the police yesterday etc... I have a story to tell about all that... check back in a few days for the lowdown...
yea i know its pretty loud without an airbox or anything but better performance. Thats SOO BEAT! yea definitely make a video about the police story. i have yet to get pulled over by them but they always follow me and im like "what do u want?" haha
I've been experimenting with jetting for a while but I didn't change the jet for this pipe because I'm already running a #60 instead of the stock #56... I'm not happy with the pipes performance... I've lost too much top end... from 57 kmh down to 52kmh (about 3 mph loss). Since I don't see major gains over the Tecno Bullet, I think I am going to go back to it.
witht the 65cc its a great difference with both! ( i have the tecnigas) offers MUCH BETTER off the line and my friends targa has a 3rd gear (the top end power band from his recently cleaned biturbo).run the pipe with the filter and a slightly larger jet. have u seen the tecno circuit exhaust? now that would be a a crazy looking pipe on a moped!
will this exhaust work on the A35 motor?

what do you mean gaskets
jetssuck23 9 months ago

jetssuck23 9 months ago
@jetssuck23
you can do it by yourself.... its easy, just make sure you get 1 or 2 new exhuast gaskets with your new pipe...

There are some "lock-bolts", i dont know the english word for it... (I'm dutch....)
But 1 bolt should work good.
And about your opinion, about the sound;
I totally agree :D

how much top speed do you loose with the tecnigas next r vs the biturbo?
xMETALLICAROCKERx 1 year ago
@xMETALLICAROCKERx
Not sure, but its safe to say that that BiTurbo is faster... if only by a couple of miles per hour...

i like your reviews...there honest and straight to the point on the most cases
and 110 dollars for the pipe is a steal i got a 70cc pipe for my yamaha zuma and it cost 250 for mainly topend performance.

turn ur idle screw to the right and make sure u use choke when starting cold.

i found out the prob it was the gas not feeding into the bowl under the carb so the float wasnt on top so no gas was going down n no gas no go lol
