the first nightmare on elm st was and still is the best its to bad the sequels didnt follow it just went weird and not as scary will 2 for was good bet not as good and 3 allright and wes cravens new nightmare was probaly the 2nd best i hope craven remakes the first one or does a true proper sequel from what i hear the remake is shit

I guess they cut the scenes because they wanted freddy to stay hidden for the majority of the beginning of the movie and that scene kinda gives too much away as to what he looks like etc.

Wow, like I said on "Tina's New Scene", I love how you make use of the lost footage. That extra shot of Fred comin' down the boiler room hall is actually a rather good camera angle... Wish they'd never canned it.
