i had just got my westie about 2 months ago. she is 7 months old now. her name is Bella and what a joy it is to have her in my home.she is very smart, so smart she learned how to get out of her cage. when i get vidio of it i will share with all of you. the only thing that drives me bonkers is that she eats my shoes. but she looks at you like what did i do and you cant help but to love her even more with that innocent look.i rescued her from a shelter and she realy loves her new home.

Are all of those Westies yours? Westies are the greatest little pups aren't they! I've had 3 westies...one passed away a few years ago and i know what you mean when you say they leave paw prints on your heart. His name was Mikey and he lived till he was 18, even now it's hard for me to except the fact that he has passed on...but i know it was for the best. As of now i have 2 Westies, Milo and Otis - they are so loyal. They're just they perfect little pooches!

we got ours a year after losing our 17 yr old daughter he was called snoop and got me through the worst thing a parent can go through i could never be in a bad mood around him he was always there with his ears up with that smile tale waging he lived 14 yrs survived cancer finally last year we had to put him down as he was lying on the table i looked him in the eyes kissed him on his head

and told him thank you snoop and i miss him every day he loved his walks i miss that

My Westie lived for 18 years. She was the bravest, toughest little dog. No fear, which often got her into mischief. I always knew the sound of trouble and her role in it. She passed 10 years ago and I still grieve. They leave pawprints on your heart.

We got a westie puppy for Christmas- how did you keep your so white?

He is very naturally white, but to help with the white coloring, we use a whitening shampoo Sno Show as well as a grooming chalk specifically for Westies.

Thank you for posting this beautiful video! It brings tears to my eyes every time I view it. Our westie (I'm sure like most) is a character so scenes of yours in the wagon and with the kids are really special. Are there 2 different westies in your video - one with black ears and one with pink ears?

The Westie is one and the same. It just shows our puppy at different ages, and the black pigment in his ear has just gotten more pronounced with age.

This is very good! i have a westie named pie who i havent seen for nearly 5 months and its killing me ( im studying abroad for a year and couldnt bring him.) A note about the whitening of the coats too... at around age 5 their coats change to a creamy yellowish corser coat and they are prone to skin rashes so use mild shapoos and things (though most of you probably know this) enjoy :)

Gandalf has a very naturally white coat. But to keep it white, I use a whitening shampoo when I bathe him and between baths, I give him a cornstarch "bath." Just sprinkle cornstarch liberally and comb out excess. This will stiffen the coat and also have him blindingly white. Others use grooming chalk for this purpose. Hope this helps!
