Nah, these don't fit the story. they're just for fun. one of them involves snake taking pictures of a giant godzilla sized solder. another one includes Meryl on the tanker. They're still great though.

its only for metal gear solid 2 substance (remake of sons of liberty), snake tales is where u play the story as snake instead of raiden. and substance contains the regular sons of liberty story (where u play as raiden after the tanker mission), VR missions, and of course snake tales. :)

Yeah, it just has an added side-story called Snake Tales, 'cause you don't get to play as Snake in the main story. Playing through these, I actually like how they did MGS2. Not that I like Raiden more than Snake, but Raiden's cluelessness shaped the rest of the series, and just made for better cutscenes than snake could've given.

Its only in Snake Tales, and even so, they're not Snake's/Pliskin's side of the Big Shell. They're actually just little mini-games that play out as if Raiden weren't there.

I wish it would have covered Snake's side the entire game. But we'll just have to hope for a complete Metal Gear re-release for PS3 containing such features.

U dont have to go into the core of the shell at all you can go straight to fatman after you meet with Aimes also the m9 is obtainable for a no kill run in under 6 minutes.

think i'm going to give the MGS series a try 4 yrs i've heard so many people say they love it but i never understood what it was about. I know people say to get the story u should play them in order 1-4 but older graphics can be distracting to me and from what i've seen MGS1 is lookin a little rough :) but it looks like this one (2-substance) has held up nice. r there a lot of load times, will i b completely lost if i start at 2. i love ps3 cuz it makes cheap ps2 games!

yeah you gotta go into the room across the hall and turn on the node then behind you on the far all you'll see an air duct on the floor. just follow it and you'll end up in the room with the supressor
