One of the worst endings ever i guess. But anyway, the game was good for its time and i'll be sleeping well tonight as AnthonyJFrame said.

OK, so now I'm officially confused. I never finished the game, but I remember someone giving me a 'poke' command that you could enter to take you to the end. When I did this, the game ended as Willy running from the bedroom and straight to the bathroom -where he ended up with his head down the loo and his legs kicking about.. Maybe they changed the ending at some point.

I poked and cheated my way to the end of this on the Amstrad and yes was very disapointed!!

ends with willy running tothe bathroom and sticking out of the loo with his legs waving - except that due to a bug, it's actually impossible to complete jet set willy without cheating.

Almost impossible - a few have done it on the ZX. If you're really obsessed, do it on an emulator then you can save your progress and replay if / when you inevitably die

@AnthonyJFrame , on Amgiga 500, the ending looks like this : Willy comes to the master bedroom where his wife is sleeping ( bfeore collecting all the items, she stands, pointing at Willy) Willy jumps onto the bed and that's the way the game finishes.

WOW, I used to spend days playing that when I was 12! On a 48k Spectrum using the cheat "pokes" to remove monsters, teleport and give infinite lives. I even made a map of all the rooms. Excellent game.

Nuuuuuu... The ending isn't a con. It's funny as hell.... Willy eventually tidies up the mansion only to be transported back to where he started.... level 1 of Manic Miner. Would have been a cool bonus to be able to play MM after finishing. Kudos to the OP, this has to be one of the hardest games ever made and completing it is an amazing feat. I never managed to finish it and never met anyone who did. Man now I've got into a retro mood lol *Dusts off his C64* Right now where's my old joystick?

The Manic Miner screen is playable on the Amstrad CPC version, not the Spectrum or C64 versions.

The ending i seen (it took me ages to collect all items). You go to the master bedroom and then computer takes over. Very quickly willy runs to the toilet (he has not been for ages after all), he trips and falls head first into the toilet! you can see his feet dangling in the air. I felt conned though when that happened!.

I don't get it...so you get all the items, you back to the master bedroom and nothing happens so you go back to the start screen, jump in the toilet and it takes you to the central cavern? Are you meant to play that screen too? Rather than just jumping about?

As soon as you land on the bed the computer takes over. Willy jumps down the bog, then appears in the central cavern. You can't control him to finish the room.
