  • Amazing... such a wonderful composition

  • This makes me miss the last days of 1988-89 when I was only to be found burried in my studio under a pile of synths... roland sh1000, univox mono synth, juno, yamaha sk20, boss dr. rythm, and miles of multitrack reel to reel tape. Ahhh... the memories.

  • @2VarmintHunters good times! now you can get all that on your computer and no need for all that tape :D

  • @sacredgeometry dont b sily mte i have used softsynths for year snd analog and analog sounds fantastic.. sure bigger and costs more and takes more effort but the results are stunning in real world... softsynths sound soo soo small compaired to the analog synths.. why do you think they are so collectable? yep its cause they are so good. forget computer, i have been using them for 25years in music and they are good but nowhere near as good as analog.

  • @electro257 In the real world nobody gives two shits....sorry but thats the truth. From an end-user point of view its the sounds that comes out of their speakers that they are worried about not what equipment was used in its creation. The sooner you realise that the easier and cheaper it will be. After being thrown through various layers of processing and mixing/layering tracks your analogue synth wont sound any different.

Im sorry but thats just the way it is. if you disagree, thats fine.

  • @sacredgeometry clearly not the world you imagine as plenty of people prefer analog too.. youtube is testimant to that as are many recordings... but i agree with you too as the idea and use of softsynths is everywhere i personally prefer analog.. as it in my opinion is loads more fun to use and hear.. do you use any analog? if not then try it you may then see where i am coming from. but yes in a world full of mass produced things analog can seem strange but honestly it does sound better..

  • @electro257 i have used lots of analogue equipment and whilst you may feel its fun its caused me more than a fair share of headaches. the point being that these headaches are not there with any of the soft synths i use neither are they there with the hardware i use. My virus ti2 is defiantly not thin .... and neither are the soft synths i use the sound quality is easily as good objectively and subjective arguments of which is better is pointless.

  • @electro257 ps the world i imagine? tell me how many "punters" go out and make a point of not buying or dancing to an album because it wasn't produced with analogue equipment? Noone except prop-heads give two giant shits and you know it. The people we make music for are the people who have the ultimately important opinion. If you deny that you are obviously very deluded as to who and what the general public are and care about.

    peace
