Mustangs live in the wild and they dont have their babies in a barn so i think the baby would be ok

Congratulations on the horses (and the child!).  What a wonderful surprise. I acquired a mustang gelding 18 months ago--best horse I've ever ridden, so now I'm a real mustang fan.

It looks kind of cold in Wyoming, shouldn't they BOTH be in some type of barn?

Foals are very weak and subtle to many diseases as newborns. Especially when they are out in the cold and wind. That concerns me for the foal's health =/

Hi HJ147,

It is extremely cold and windy in Wyoming, but you must remember these are wild Mustangs which have lived in this region for centuries. Natural selection has predisposed these animals to be of much hardier and resilient stock than most domesticated bloodlines.

She is now just over a year old and stands wither to wither with every full-grown horse in our stable. She is actually the most beautiful and promising horse I have ever owned.

Have you ever asked a woman when her baby was due, only to discover that she was just fat? It was kind of like that, only in reverse. Thanks for the comments though guys!
