The tunnels do not pop out in the middle of street like subway station - each households were paid $200/month for tunnels linked into their houses. And Yes, the very houses in Rafah were also tunnel smuggling house (in fact, 2 of them were unoccupied) - what baffled even Hamas member and the home owner was the fact that the very house owner was going to move to other location anyways. Proof? Hamas admitted this on public paper...

Rachel was standing in front of this home. As the bulldozer approached she stood her ground. Rachel was wearing an orange fluorescent jacket.
