  • he might be sheading and they dont eat when they shead

  • Get him to the vet

  • Hello, usualy all of my six geckos at the first week or two wont eat but latter if they dont start to eat it may be a problem... 1. if you have it on sand it may have inpact and I recomend you to give him a warm bath... 2. also it may be that its not warm inough.. they sometimes dont eat if its not warm about 90 degress half of one side... 3. If he dosent whant to eat you can research some videos of how to force feed a gecko or how to make the slury... by the way... its a max snow. plis visit me

  • i hate it leopard geckos die so easily

  • How did you get your gecko to eat. Cuz i barely got mine a week ago and he doesnt want to eat.

  • try getting a bit of warm water on your finger or on tissue and rub up and down his belly thats should help or try giving him a warm bath everyday

  • probably impackted

  • hey so my new gecko has the same problem is urs ok and what did u do to fix it?

  • If you look at the mouth you can usually see a scab that Is an infection If that Is there you want to give Tazz a warm bath everyday and see If hes getting better after doing that. My gecko just recently died from that infection, she was getting worse when we gave her baths and when we force fed her.

  • a few more questions? i pla on buying another gecko. can i put it in with tazz? and also what morph is tazz?

  • no its might be combustion depending on what he uses

  • He might also have impaction. Well this means that when he was on sand he might of swallowed some and it built up in his stomach. Here are signs if he is impacted. He wont poop ( Give it a couple days) He wont eat and he is not as active. You can clear this up by giving him baths to clear it up slowly or go to your vet and ask what he or she needs to say.

  • I know what happened. He might be having a mouth rot. Thats not good. Check if there is black gunk on the roof of his mouth. Or its impaction.

  • @MrWaffles160 im not rly sure it kinda looks like he might have it but what should i do?

  • yes he told me tht hes had it on sand for its whole life except for the first week. and where can i get this oil???

  • @ExoticReptiles101 pretty much any store Food Lion, wal-mart, dollar store ect. I have used Mineral oil on 3 cases which were impacted on sand or vermiculite, it saved their lives. It helps to loosen up the sand inside their stomach so they can better pass it through their digestive track. I hate to say it but the way it looks its been impacted for a long time and prob wont make it but its always worth it to try. Do a search for Impacted leopard gecko it will tell you more info-

  • @ExoticReptiles101 Warm baths and rubbing its belly gently will help move the impaction as well.

  • @ CountGecko what exactly does the veggetable oil do???

  • Did he keep it on sand? Could be impacted, If so I'd start putting drops of Mineral oil or vegetable oil on its nose so it can lick it off, it will help to move it thorough its system. Make sure it has a warm spot of 90-95 and a cool side, if they don't have heat they usually wont eat, I'd keep a small dish with mealworms in it and maybe try some medium sized crickets.

  • @CountGecko what exactly does the veggetable oil do???

  • I'd feed him/her crickets they move more so will catch your gecko's attention.

  • ok thnx does he look abnormal to you?

  • I also remember something about Geckos do not eat when they are moved into different areas so get her a Standard home as soon as possible and make sure you don’t change it around for a few months she/he needs to be in a familiar place.

  • Hmm... Leopard geckos can be very picky about what they eat... even if they are starving to death. You should introduce as many forms of food to your gecko as possible and she/he will choose the food that she/he likes the best. Some common sources of food are: Crickets, melee worm, salmon, I highly suggest WAX worms due to their high content of fat, I even got my gecko to eat fish sticks =P.
