last time i did this on my iPod (used T-PoT, same as WinSCP)

i got a message for every time i wanted to download a cydia app:

"the app is paid or needs a paid app for it to work, if you paid, contact Saurik, if not,

download the original package."

I restored my iPod because of that.

Will it work this way?

@NitzanBueno That could have been from an app that hasn't been cracked. Or maybe the app you were trying to install needed another app from cydia that costs that you didn't have. Either way, you should not have needed to restore your whole ipod. And yes, it works.

@AnthonyWasH3r3 well pretty much all you guys who do these videos use an Ipod and not an iphone.. there is a difference in the two.. many times you guys do these things and dont realize the extra programs in an iphone can be affected by installations, jailbreaks and addd ons in cydia... use what most are using the iphone..

@JEWCIFERx hmm.. the version you downloaded might not work for your iphone/ipod's version. Try googling an iconoclasm download that'll work for you. Probably the latest version of iconoclasm.

@binimszueriidschuel This method will work on all versions as long as ifile or ifile cracked and whatever cydia app you want is compatible with 4.1 or any other version. Since it is so early into 4.1, it might take awhile for ifile to work on it.
