you are right, valuev is very fast for his waight. if he would fight just strait agains haye, he would take his condition after some rounds and he would win. i know because i was fighting against him.

I am very shocked at Valuevs performance against Hollyfield, he looked very average, a class B fighter at best but one thing i have been thinking recently, was Valuev carrying Hollyfield out of respect for the aging legend? if he didnt and that is how he performs against a fighter with good movement Haye will be hitting him all night and trust me the bigger the chin the easier to hit, if the animal has a chin it can be KO'd Tiiiiiiiiiimber!

Valuev is slow, upright and will be easy for a hard, sharp puncher like Haye. Valuev is going to find it very hard to hit Haye indeed, he has never been in the ring with anybody with his power or speed. Do you see a dif outcome?

Re: Valuev-Haye, thanks for the heads-up! I heard it from you first. I had to confirm it and sure enough... I'm actually relieved. I thought Wlad-Haye was the better fight, for Haye & for boxing fans. Vitali Klitchko completely changed the nature of things. He's much more stronger/sturdier & Haye would've fared much less better. At 1st I didn't like Haye, but warmed up to him cuz' we could use excitement. I got turned off after his pullout.

Valuev-Haye is perfect all-round!

He is very swift defensively. He just needs to work on his offense. Better technique and not loading up on shots, but taking weight off them and throwing them in combinations.

I think the perfect offense for him would be like the one Buster Douglas had for the Tyson fight; his offense in offense in peak form. Valuev could run most those combinations off. In particular that left-jab-right-hand-left jab. Valuev really needs to make much more offensive use of his jab, as well as varying the #'s.

He probably won't be able to be as active as Douglas per se. But he could be active enough, and be VERY effective. He needs a new trainer.

Pretty soon he's gonna have to step up and fight Klitchko. They turned down Klitchko not too long ago, and it didn't make him look good at all. Only reinforced the stereotypes about him. But I can give him pass on the grounds that he needs more work before he's ready; that final, elite-level caliber training.

But as a man, he CAN'T retire w/o fighting Wlad.

This guy can't be 86 kg- where did you get this info? The cutoff for cruiserweight even back in 1997 when this fight took place was 190 and its 200 pounds now.. This guy weighed 189.5 pounds?
