Those that are criticizing this performance obviously don't understand the talent this young woman has. To sit in with a top level group such as TOP and pull off the vocals on one of their early tunes is amazing. Congratulations on a job well done.

I thought she was great! Most of the negative commenters here should try singing it in German (and BTW, the venue is in Basel, Switzerland, where the audience natively speak German, NOT English. My hat's off to TOP for letting her sit in. These guys have been around for ever; I think it's great that they routinely let younger people sit in. Music should be about inclusion, not exclusion, IMHO. It's all about the experience of making music, that counts.

She murdered it. Wrong song for her. Her style doesn't fit. Maybe a Tower ballad, or "So Very Hard to Go" would have been better. By the way, Check out the Berklee school of music's "Tower of Power Ensemble" from a couple of years ago. Their lead trombone player "Aubrey Logan" comes up front to sing lead on "So Very Hard To Go" and her vocals will blow you away!

All you naysayers are IDIOTS! Stefanie nails this. Way back when in 1968 there was a group called "Cold Blood" with a female singer, Lydia Pense. And yes, the Tower of Power horns played with them. Stefanie is channeling Lydia, and awesomely!! Look up "Cold Blood" on You Tube you know nothing clowns. Both these chicks SMOKE!!

I agree with you Beaconmike. She wasn't very good at all in my opinion. I have no idea who she is... maybe some young up and comer in Germany. I like Joss Stone and I'm not even sure she would have been right for that tune. Someone gritty and soulful which is tough to find these days with everyone using auto-tune. Maybe Amy Winehouse but we'll never know...

Ok - here's a kid being pushed by a parent who can't hear properly. Audience response is lukewarm, so Heinzmanns, stcik to the piano business. Stefanie sounds like Nina circa 99 Luftballons. This is so fucking wrong! Stefanie Heinzmann is just some newbie in the German pop music scene whereas ToP is guaranteeing Oakland Soul Music that can wipe you off your feet since 1968!

It should be: "ToP feat. the pimpleface" and not vice versa!

Stefanie Heinzmann wurde erst vor Kurzem von Raab entdeckt und hat noch nicht so viel geleistet. Hingegen machen ToP Qualitäts-Soul-Musik seit 1968 und haben bereits 20+ Alben veröffentlicht. Es sollte "ToPfeat.Pickelgesicht" heißen und nicht umgekehrt
