Grew up in the 80's and early 90s as a kid and mid-late 90's as a teen, i loved living in those times. I had Snake Mountain when i was 4, saw Gremlins 2 in theaters when i was 9, ate Honeycomb, and remember the Popeye oatmeal commercials.
Holy shit, I had that freakin imitation transformer (red copter) from the first commercial! Never a dull moment in the 80's, for me that was the real golden age, the best of toys, movies, cartoons, video games, music, family picnics, christmas mornings, halloween, Transformers, HE-MAN figures, BMX and Freestyle bikes (RAD the movie), real green grass and fresh air, E.T, Lazer Tag..etc, etc, etc. Lol
lmao those timex watches the big ones remind me of those wall clocks that were popular in the day that were like 4 feet long and about 10 inches or so wide and were in the shape of a wrist watch.. You could get em so they would light up too.
I smashed all of my matchbox cars and Fast Ones with a hammer cuz my friends and I needed a last minute display for a booth against DWI. So ironic. ugh!
Celeste,I remember when I bought my first Nintendo Entertainment System from TOYS R'US. It came with Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. They were 8 bit games back in the year 1985.
yeah, i LOVED all 4 tv shows! esp cosby show and family ties. they were awesome. night court was good too. the first few seasons of cheers weren't that great, but the later seasons were stellar! =P
Quaker Oats had to pull the "Popeye the Quaker Man" ad campaign when the Society of Friends objected; if Popeye were really a Quaker man, they contended, he'd be gentle and peaceful, and not knocking people into orbit.
Adjust the tracking!

I clearly remember that Power Glove commercial. At the time, the ad really made it look wicked cool. Little did we know...

Thursday night on NBC in the mid-80's had "The Cosby Show" followed by "Family Ties", then "Cheers", then "Night Court". Now THAT was a line up!

Gremlins 2 was such a bad movie.
"The Wizard" was right. The Power Glove was "so bad".
