@VotreCauchemar lol I was 13 when I posted that, but I really don't use Ubuntu much anymore because I got a new computer and the wifi card isn't supported.
Love it. I think the reason why Ubuntu-goers want a quicker boot/experience is because compared to Windows (oooo, I mentioned Windoze, prepare to flame Zzz), Ubuntu 9.04 still needs to work on a unified GUI that is pleasant and comparable to what your average Joe wants.
Something like this can easily go a long way. I am tired of some of the elitists who think that Proper UI/user experience/eye candy = Windows. If thats what you think then go back to microsoft.
i tend to agree, theres nothing that says just because something is user friendly, means that it has sold out. Also, just because something is very graphically based, doesn't mean that it can't have just as many powerful features also.
this will never make it as an included splash screen. Its really nice looking but the number one goal for 9.10 is a ten second boot time and this splash screen affectively kills that goal
Unfortunately not. It's just an idea, and would take a lot of effort to actually make. If it really existed, there would probably be more info in the video's description.
wow i want it! lol

Are you going to put this on gnomelook as an xsplash for karmic?
mgold0081 2 years ago
Do you see it on start up?
On Alpha 5 Netbook Remix, which I run on VirtualBox, this doesn't happen.

Well, maybe it won't be the default screen, but if they at least include as an option that a user can change later, that would be cool.
