  • Awesome Sound, i just love those old cymbals like 18 crashes with those very "manly" crash sound

Not like the cymbals made today, which are very thin and weak

  • My drum kit was made in the '70s =D

  • thats the sound ive been looking for!why does it sound so good???...not like other cymbals

  • I actually belive this cymbal was probably made before the 1930's/'20's, before Avedis lll set up the Quincy MAS. factory. So this thing is PRE-TTY valuable, maybe costing up to US$1,000! But check because... what do I know?

  • Wow, imagine if it is worth about a grand, but I wouldn't sell it for the world, well maybe...thanks

  • Yeah, old cast cymbals DO sound better than new ones, well... aged I Mean. And you're welcome.

  • Sorry to make you suffer like that,;) but the wing nut was not that tight, I promise!! I must learn from my mistakes, thanks for all the comments!!!

  • I have to agree with cdiaz, it was painful to watch this great cymbal bein played with the wing nut so tight and choking a potetially even better sounding cymbal =O

  • If you don't want that crack on the mounting hole to get worse better loosen wing nut a bit on cymbal stand! also this chokes the cymbal as well.......

  • i believe this cymbal was made around 1969

that is when they sold the 16 inch K crash

  • Thanx for the information. How much do you think its worth and what do you think of the sound on the video?

  • no problem

    i believe its worth around $220 - $260 US

i really do like the sound

its for a hard type of music and the sound quality is fits right in with Paiste's sound quality

  • how much do u reckon my zildgian k 1961 hi hats r worth???

  • paiste's sound quality? paiste's sound like beginner's cymbals

  • hahaha you are so ignorant

  • nah don't think so paiste cymbals do in fact sound like any other brand's beginner cymbals. listen and compare em on the zildjian and paiste websites.

  • hahah you are so ignorant lol

I have Z a's and K' and I HAVE paiste's 2002 and signature... Paiste has better cymbals period.

  • nope

  • ok fanboy.. I actually have the cymbals...

  • i used to play paiste years ago before switching to zildjian and realizing they are higher quality.

  • ok what line ? haha

    2002, signature, twenty ? or the cheap 602 pst3 pst4 pst5, alpha...

  • i played the 2000 series which aren't too different from the 2002 or signature

  • of course they are different... they cost 1/5

  • nah the 2000's were only slightly cheaper than the 2002 and they didn't sound much different this however was several years ago though

  • @BR177 not to take a massive shit on ur quite obvious advantage in this arguement... my best sounding cymbals dont even hav names on them. they came wit my pearl export series kit. they were FREE and they sound better than the fuckin 2002 series or whatever ur a fanboy of. just cuz it has a branding doesnt meant that its better than the other. Sound doesnt care who its made by or how much it cost, sound matters on materials and playing skills.. you hear that? SKILLS.

  • @elementality4me ahahahahaahahahahahaha

  • @BR177 dude you dont know shit about cymbals, i used to play paistes, and the 2000 series is equal to the 2002, and why did u say cheap 602's? the formula 602's were top of the line b20 cymbals from paiste, and they just reissued them this year. So GTFO and go learn some about cymbals before acting as a smart ass biatch!
