  • Hoaaah! It sounds sooh sexy!! I just love the way these vintage bikes sound when you rev it.

  • It was a motorcycle and the type that an older brother valued,

but the thing of an older brother was black in old days. I think

that it is the highest peak of the orthodox school motorcycle.

I thank for an animation of this place. Thank you very much.

  • ,,beatiful..

  • And, NICE BIKE!!!! How can I get my 1974 R90/6 to be as quiet as this one?? The valve train clatter is a little excessive! And It's all gone through... Clearances are perfect.

  • How much for the cruiser??

  • Very clean sound! Nice! These are the one and only BMW motorcycles!

  • it goes up to 160 kmh right

  • All air cooled boxers are indestructible, vw beetle, bmw, cessna!

  • i would give anything for that bike. good lord! what a treat!

  • God, I love that sound. My dad had the dover white R60 and I had the R69S. Sometimes, in the countryside when we drove together. It sounded like an airplane. I will for ever love those older BMW motorcycles. Thank you for posting this clip. I give you 100,000 STARS.

  • prrrt prttttt puuuuuuuuuuutprutprut prtttttttt

  • I like white it just stands out from the other BMW. When i was sixteen i hand panted ( spray can ) a 1962 blue Honda dream and later found out it was hondas rarest color. Oh well.

  • Thanks guys..

  • Now that is a real motorcycle. You can keep the modern garbage.

  • dats a cute baby u got there

  • Gorgeous!

  • I once owned BMW R69S, ex-police bike, the best motorcycle i have ever owned.

I don´t like to drive fast but 120KM per hour was very comfortable on this motorcycle.

I hope i can upload in a few months time some TV shots of it.

  • So cool...the first motorcycle I ever rode was my dads R69S...I have moved up to a K75S but would live to have a old boxer someday!!!

  • don't kick engine start like that

  • really a great bike!! since last saturday, 03. January 2009, we also ride one of this great bikes but as a sidecar and the colour design is not in the vintage style. We loved it from the first sight on.

  • Great bike!

but i heard need of synchronizing of carbs

    a lil bit!:)

  • fantastic job sir. i must say your diligence has much to be written about. as has been aforesaid pray continue this very rare speciality.

    all the best.

  • Thank you Sir for the kind words. I will always have fond memories of preserving this BMW to the best of my ability.

  • A real classic, how much work did you do to get the BMW to this condition and how long did it take ? cheers, mitch.

  • Mitch, Thanks for the comments. It was basically salvage and left to rot for 20 years. Took me 8 months of obsession and about $13,000 to get it to this condition. EVERYTHING was rebuilt, refinished but mostly replaced. A labor of love and I'm happy I did it. Thanks, Mark

  • Cheers Mark, you have done well to get this kind of result in 8 months, I have seen similar projects taking a good deal longer.

Good luck with any future restorations as this kind of talent is rare nowadays.

    ride safely, regards, mitch.

  • Mitch, thanks.

    Regards, Mark.

  • Great bike! Is it for sale? Please call Steve at 323 851 0994.

    Thanks

  • Steve. Sorry, I sold it last fall. It truly was (still is) a wonderful BMW. Good luck in your search. They are skyrocketing in value.

  • HI there, I am Benj, I am looking for to buy a vintage BMW motobike. Do you kno someone who likes to sell it?

    Hoping fpr your reply.

  • Benj, I'm sorry. This BMW is sold and I do not know of another one for sale. Thanks for looking.

  • Nice vid, I don't think I've ever seen one of those back-of-the-seat grab-rails before...what's the deal?

  • Hello crocostimpy. The grab rail is from ebayer "bluemoonscooter". It's a nice addition when I had put the passenger pillion on. Something for them to grab onto. Also, nice to hold when starting or maneuvering around in the garage. Thanks, bmwresto.

  • lovely, brings back memories
