I remember reading an interview with Neil Finn when this song was in the British charts, some 24 years ago, when I was at school. He said he got the idea for the song whilst driving through Melbourne in the rain and his car broke down - just listen to the lyrics. I dont think the lyrics are that deep. I love this song though, reminds me of what I was doing that year.

While it only had a small part of the song I will never forget the exact part of the movie it is in. It is one of the best books I have ever read and one of the only one that actually did justice on the screen. The song fits perfectly into the storyline.
