Actually, the Dell Mini 9 has the option of upgrading to a 64 gig SSD and 2 gig of ram if you opt for the ubuntu version. Their is also bluetooth capabilities and a webcam with either .3 or 1.3 MP. The options provided by Dell in ordering the Inspiron Mini 9 are going to change over time, and you shouldn't be so quick to assume he doesn't know what he's talking about.
With the HP Mini you get up 60GB HDD and 2GB Memory Ram, with Dell Mini you only get up to 32GB SSD and 1GB Memory Ram, see the HP Mini review and you'll see the differences.
I don't like it that much, i like the color white one, but still its performance could off been better, i mean 32GB come on; i would prefer the HP Mini or the Sony Vaio P
Hey, man. What a nice dock you got. How did you get those stuff? it runs pretty fast and how you get 32 SSD with window OS? At last, what you think of Dell inspiron mini 9?
When I ordered my Mini 9, the 32 SSD was an option with WinXP. Not sure what happened to that options. I wouldn't recommend getting anything smaller though.
For the side slide-out bar I use Rocket Dock, it is freeware. For the desktops, I use DeskSpace. It isn't freeware but they got a trial version.
Overall the Dell Mini 9 is great. Love it. Takes a little to get used to, especially the typing.
yeah i wish it was matted black thats what i have with my Hp laptop, i went ahead and order mine last night in black.... i kinda was going go for the white but then didn't
Hi Drucash. It is DeskSpace I am using right now. When I ordered my Dell Mini 9, the 32 SSD option was available with the WinXP OS. Not sure what happened to it. I'd definatley recommend getting 32 GB.
Just a quick question what windows theme are you using to have the toolbar on the left side and multiple desktops? Did you order the ubuntu 32 gig and put xp on it?

you can use any SDHC card. they go as big as like 64gb so yea, your 16gb sd card would be useable. i also have a mini 9 and love it.

i want one not sure wich color to get i like the black but it shows all the finger prints, what made u get white???
cartoonsky 3 years ago
Hey. Why did I get my Mini 9 in white? Finger prints mostly. I would love a nice matte black, but they don't really offer any matte colors.
My HP is glossy black and I have to clean it daily. This white seems to hide prints pretty good.

i guess i'll just see how it goes :)
