  • I'm getting a vostro a90 which is the same thing but kinda like the business version!! Thanks this actually helped unlike some other videos

  • i love how he panics when he says it's replacing his desktop

  • how big of memory cards can you use on it.would like to use 16 gb sd mem cards?

  • I think that should be no problem. I use the one from my digital camera all the time.

  • you can use any SDHC card. they go as big as like 64gb so yea, your 16gb sd card would be useable. i also have a mini 9 and love it.

  • No, the Mini 9, 10, and 12 (All of them) have an option for Windows XP, or Ubuntu 8.04.

  • Some run on linux not for people new to the computer world or to linux!!!

  • Sorry, not sure how a 8'9 inch Netbook compares to a 17 inch Mackbook. haha. It is like comparing my cell to my Netbook.

  • no. there is ubuntu

    and some people put osx

  • what is allowing you to switch the desktop like that? (at 1:33)

  • I ordered one of these except I bought the stripped down one with Linux and then buying RAM and a bigger SSD and installing XP.

BTW, what server you play on? ;-)

  • That's a sweet little computer =)

  • avira yes!!

  • im about to get one is the web cam and is that the 1 with ubanto

  • Actually, the Dell Mini 9 has the option of upgrading to a 64 gig SSD and 2 gig of ram if you opt for the ubuntu version. Their is also bluetooth capabilities and a webcam with either .3 or 1.3 MP. The options provided by Dell in ordering the Inspiron Mini 9 are going to change over time, and you shouldn't be so quick to assume he doesn't know what he's talking about.

  • With the HP Mini you get up 60GB HDD and 2GB Memory Ram, with Dell Mini you only get up to 32GB SSD and 1GB Memory Ram, see the HP Mini review and you'll see the differences.

  • I'd rather have SSD.

  • so what is the main difference?

  • speed and they don't break after a couple of years

(they use al lot less energy)

  • I don't like it that much, i like the color white one, but still its performance could off been better, i mean 32GB come on; i would prefer the HP Mini or the Sony Vaio P

  • How much did you end up paying for this netbook?

  • Quick qu, how did you load Microsoft Office on the laptop, through external CD drive? Thanks

  • Hi. I actually shared my DVD drive over my home network. You can also get an external USB drive. Hope that helps.

  • how do you share your dvd drive over your network i've tried everiting and i can't :(

  • Hey, man. What a nice dock you got. How did you get those stuff? it runs pretty fast and how you get 32 SSD with window OS? At last, what you think of Dell inspiron mini 9?

  • Hey back!

When I ordered my Mini 9, the 32 SSD was an option with WinXP. Not sure what happened to that options. I wouldn't recommend getting anything smaller though.

For the side slide-out bar I use Rocket Dock, it is freeware. For the desktops, I use DeskSpace. It isn't freeware but they got a trial version.

Overall the Dell Mini 9 is great. Love it. Takes a little to get used to, especially the typing.

    Dell service is horrible though.

  • i want one not sure wich color to get i like the black but it shows all the finger prints, what made u get white???

  • Hey. Why did I get my Mini 9 in white? Finger prints mostly. I would love a nice matte black, but they don't really offer any matte colors.

My HP is glossy black and I have to clean it daily. This white seems to hide prints pretty good.

  • yeah i wish it was matted black thats what i have with my Hp laptop, i went ahead and order mine last night in black.... i kinda was going go for the white but then didn't

i guess i'll just see how it goes :)

    happy new year

  • Hi Drucash. It is DeskSpace I am using right now. When I ordered my Dell Mini 9, the 32 SSD option was available with the WinXP OS. Not sure what happened to it. I'd definatley recommend getting 32 GB.

  • Just a quick question what windows theme are you using to have the toolbar on the left side and multiple desktops? Did you order the ubuntu 32 gig and put xp on it?
