  • I'm going to start using this until it becomes a catchphrase. Then I will go to Christian's house and he will give me all the money.

  • "Earthworm" is a catch phrase? I thought it was a word.

  • he was as unlucky as a worm from earth!

  • The young lad was just nervous about the totty on the other team.

  • @whyteay - for US readers I just said the young guy was nervous about the chick on the other team.

  • damn, i thought it was Earthworm Jim

  • worm from earth is not really a catchphrase...

    ...and neither is earthworm

  • ...Anyone else think of something dirty....or am i just another perv D:

  • pmsl. The worm from earth..

  • The catchphrase picture looks awfully euphemistic!

  • Is this the British version still?

  • @SAIL4323 yes it is still the british version

  • @MYBIGKINDHEART

I thought so. The host sounds like he worked well with kids, so being on a family version of Catch Phrase made sense.

  • Fail! lol

  • I'm not sure even Roy Walker would have pegged that as "Good but not right."

  • 0:05-0:16 gotta luv the music tho

  • gloryhole

  • lol feckin eejit

  • @nodrog12345

From that comment I knew you were Irish too, up the rebels!

  • I would have said "Dick In the Ocean"

  • Is it perhaps globe nematode?

  • look at the points difference hahaha what an idiot.

  • billions killed as giant worm rises from atlantic ocean.

  • who the hell is this guy. WHERE'S ROY WALKER

  • @conostar The special jail for men who are intensely creepy.

  • @conostar he hosted 1986-2002, hes on to something else right now.

  • 'its a worm, and where is he from?'

    'worm from earth'

    'no, no, thats WRONG!'

i bet he was thinking - 'retard'

  • the guy is correct...

  • It's good, but it's not the one.

    Keep pressing and guessing.

  • what a complete pillock

  • I would've said Wormhole :)

  • lol what a retard, " worm from earth " priceless

  • look at that worm being juggled around in that hole.

  • I love how he says it so bluntly and *almost* with a straight face... he's totally thinking "YES! I know this one!"

  • omfghahahahaha worm from earth hahaha

  • anyone else wana beat tht man with a stick?

  • Because worm from earth is clearly the right answer.

  • worm from earf!

  • Well this show's ruined now, none of them will ever compare to Roy Walker.

  • i bet his dad beat him silly after the show

  • This will always be Roy Walkers show!

  • LOL @shoppermania XD

  • I think the contestant looked like he was just bored with the presenter and nearly fell asleep. Roy Walker would've at least been a lot more of a laugh.

  • To be honest, 'earthworm' isn't a catchphrase, is it? It's just a word...

  • no but the show is basically just guess what it is in a pun picture

eg a picture of a car of a playing card might = car jack

  • @SonOfFurzehatt Yeah I thought that. :D

  • @SonOfFurzehatt Not all answers on Catchphrase are catchphrases. Many are just words. Calling the programme "Mostly Catchphrases With Some Words Occasionally" doesn't have the same ring somehow.....

  • god the present is a misable cock aint he

  • wormhole

  • no fuck no, it´s not cb

  • IS it christian bale??

  • No--the time this was shot, his hair was longer, and it doesn't sound like him. Plus, he was living in the US and hates publicity--so why randomly appear on a British game show?

  • Ye, cos if he hates publicity, a random british game show must be his worst nightmare.

  • i remember this episode, thats christian bale (from batman begins!)

  • wait, that IS Christian Bale lol he looked so wimpy back in the day

  • don't be ridiculous, that ain't him...

  • wat a cock.

  • "World-class dick"?

  • he's right, that was worm from earth :P

  • This is NOT family catchphrase. Roy's one with the entire family not two members (which can't technically be classed as family) is better...

  • Worm from earth? Silly little sod!

  • In fairness, he asked "What is that thing, and where has it come from?" and he replied with the direct answer.

"THE WORM FROM EARTH." should be a catchphrase, in my view.

  • haha hes rite though! thats wt it is and it shud be a catchphrase in its own rite!

  • The Worm From Earth. LOLZ

  • haha fantastic

  • well the guy practically gave him the answer so he didn't think straight away

  • its shit without roy :(

  • lol, in fairness he said what he saw ;)

  • Yep SAY WHAT YOU SEE... the worm from earth...

  • omfg lol

  • what a twat

  • no wonder his team is only on 40

  • who said it was balls RETARD!

  • whos that guy

  • who said it was balls!!!!!

  • maybe yours! O.M

  • Oh my god what an ideot, even I knew that answer!!

  • I LOLLED

  • That comment made me choke on my coffee

  • HAHAHAA what a twat!

  • fool

  • Haha... this show always had some fucking idiots on it.

I was getting more right than the contestants when I was 8 years old.

  • The Worm from Earth? Sounds like a really bad B-Movie.

  • earth worm isnt a phrase either its what its called !

  • haha stupid git, andrew doesnt think much of him

  • Well He did say What is it and where is it from

  • Ha ha HA HA "Worm from Earth!

  • Not at all funny!!!

  • haha the geordie mans comment amused me

  • the host didnt looked pleased XD

  • Not funny

  • It is indeed hard to think.

  • ...when you're a dozzy sod!

  • nothing beats the snake charmer clip!

  • The answers are never really catchphrases anyway

  • urr thats not funny

  • who is he

  • HAHAHA

  • more like "what is the worm 'doing' to the earth!"

  • Anybody notice that the border around the big screen doesn't turn blue/red like it did on Roy's version?

  • You don't have to be funny.

  • not even a catchphrase...it's just a word.

Ghey ran out of ideas for this show i prefer the older episodes.

    still, pretty funny.

  • That really was not even funny

  • u have a sick sick mind!

  • riteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • lol it's hard to think =P

  • Yessssssssssssssss

  • It's not really a catchphrase Christian, that would be you!!!!!

  • Bwahahahhahahahaahahahaha! Worm from earth....RETARD!!!

  • hahahaha... hey, he said what he saw didn't he? :oP

  • The one on the right would definitely get it, her daughter's not bad either.

  • smooth :P

  • piss off I saw her first!!

  • What a twat

  • What an Idiot

  • bwahahaha I would've said the same thing XD

  • Wow how stupid can you be... xD

  • ... what a random clip to upload. There's just nothing special about it whatsoever.

Who's that host and why are there two people?

  • No need for that. Take a valium and calm the f*ck down.

  • The worm from earth lol!

  • There's no need to post the title of the clip with lol at the end as a comment.

  • Only way I could do it is with web cam it would be a good clear picture and sound but just not direct feed.

  • Family catchphrase was on FAMILY CHANNNEL after the TVS ones finished on ITV in 1993 and was on in 1994 Until the new Carlton episodes of catchphrase began in sept 1994 on ITV.

Ive several full episodes but I cannot put em up since I do not have direct tv capture.

  • Because: Famliey channel brought TVS archive in 1993

  • Hi ckb2,

Great clip of Family Catchphrase I especially like the music to Worm from earth as when I play it I do a robot dance!

  • Hi ckb2

I saw the episode of this clip from last night's Family Catchphrase on challenge!

  • I think I can explain the mystery behind family catchphrase.Normal Catchphrase aired from 1986-1993 and took a short break till September 1994. Between 1993 and 1994 Family Catchphrase was aired, I think the series ended when the new series of Catchphrase came out in 1994

  • ER: No:

TVS made the 86 - 92 version of Catchphrase then TVS lost if ITV francshied, with most of it programmes going another company who set up Family channel IE Challenge TV, so there still controlled the set... muisc... so there used the format for this show.

some time in 94, ITV got the show back but with some music changes, and it as made for Carlton TV ( London weekday people )

  • Yes 623058 is right on this one

  • What is That Thing?

  • Family Catchphrase doesn't look so bad, even if it does lack the Roy Walker magic. It's in the same setting. Looks similar to the 1998 versions of the show too.

  • My mistake. Family Catchphrase aired during the 1993/4 period, and it proved that Andrew O'Connor didn't do so much of a bad job. Aired on The Family Channel.

  • this is hilarious

  • family catchphrase still comes on, but repeated at about 5 in the morning on challenge.

  • It's Family Catchphrase. Andrew O'Connor hosts Family Catchphrase.

  • worm from earth, XD what a plonker

  • Where has Roy Walker gone??? We need him!!! Still can't beat catchphrase. Say what you see :-) RRRIIIIGGGGHHHHHTTTTT!!!

  • family catchphrase was cool any more clips of this show?

  • At least you got in there first young man...

    What's with the hair fella??

  • LOL.. I don't even know what to say about this.. That's comedy..
