jordan never said it was her song! fergie may hav cowritten the song, but she SOLD IT and than after hearing Jordens finished version which makes it the ORIGINAL and that makes FERGIES VERSION A COVER)and recorded it after saying she wouldnt.

and TECHNICALLY it isnt completely jordan or fergies and here is why:

fergie COwrote the song-1/3

someone else cowrote it with her-1/3

jordan RECORDED IT FIRST-1/3

I like both versions, but I prefer Fergie's because I think her voice fits better for the type of song. I think Jordan is better with up beat songs and Fergie for ballads. Just my opinion.

Fergie wrote it and sold it to Bad Boy Records because it did not fit the style of her album. Only after Fergie heard Jordan's version did she want to put it on the album. Agree to the great hit though.

I don't see why it can't be on her album as well! The Song "How Do I live" was done at the same time by both Trisha Yearwood AND Leann Rimes! I like this version better...there's something about Fergie that I don't care for! She's better in Black Eyed Peas!

Yes, but at the time both Trisha Yearwood and Leann Rimes were well known and successful artist. It would have been too risky for Jordan to release the song and be compared to an already accomplished artist. Having said that, I still like Jordan's version better. But probably because I heard her version first.
