I think that rather than Leo being chosen as Matt Santos' running mate, he should have picked Andy. With the scandal brewing about the military space shuttle it would have made the race with Vinick a lot more interesting.

She represents Prince George's County, which is uber Democratic (assuming the parallels are the same), so it's probably not unlikely that she either ran unopposed or with token Republican opposition. Nydia Velasquez of New York (Brooklyn/Queens) reguarly beats Republican opponents with 85% of the vote, Jerry Moran of Kansas beat his Democratic opponent last year with 82%...so it's possible.
