try to find a hi-hat that has spiked feet. as for a clutch, aint found a GREAT one yet. gibralter has one that pulls on the rod as opposed to screw into it. so far so good. and a trick that helps me abit is adjusting the heighth of the bottom cymbals AFTER you take out 1/2 the "pedal travel". from top to bottom. reducing your foot leverage. regardless, it wont matter w/ a crappy clutch...just dont press so hard. besides, it chokes the hats making em sound like ass...IMO..

Man I'm having so much problems with hi-hat stands moving around, clutches loosing the grip... -any recomendations, got a n old DW stand and a cheap Sonor, but had these problems with all kinds off stands, the new two legged yamaha gives me hell on stage... need something light and solid and don't wanna use a rack..

I love doing that, it's not very hard actually.

Just gotta figure out how you are most comfortable doing it. You can press your fingers into the head after hitting it or use the butt of the drumstick or brush.

Imagine it would be as if you'd be playing a chord instrument and all the sudden it's not in the right key anymore and you have to put it back the way it should while the groove keeps going; it's frustrating as an artist and can become stressful in front of your public

this guy has the sickest sticking and snare techniques ive ever seen, u can see the buddie rich influence (french grip finger technique). This is the newest druming style ! the relm of D&B modern drumming ! this is what drums have evolved into. mayer is king of the break beat
