i do it from the front to! dont worry some people tell me that to but if your in a stable or have a safe horse they shouldnt run away when your putting the rug on
p.s. i have always been taught to do up from the front and ive worked at a few equestrian centres. have never heard anything different and have always practiced this with my horses
agreed but i normally suggest that a horse is in a stall like in the video or tied up when rugging. if you are rugging out in a paddock that CAN be asking for trouble in many other ways :) thanks for the comments :D
Putting on the rug doing the front strap up first is wrong because if your in the paddock doing it and the horse runs away then its gonna hang on there neck and it will then slide down over there face and they would pannick.
