Writing fiction doesn't mean that the real characters aren't respected. If you don't like it, that's alright. But have a bit of respect for all the people who love this pairing. That's a lot of people, you know. And this is fiction, seriously, not real people. Give it a rest, and just let the rest of the world be. We all know the story J.K. Rowling wrote. I don't think it's a bad thing to play with the characters in different ways! Have a bit of respect, please.

@Albolu But still, to pair them up as homosexuals is absolutely the opposite of what J. K. Rowling was trying to translate! The whole story is based around the prospect of family, friendship, and the conflict between good and evil! Not some gay rights and acceptance movement! Wrong, just wrong.

@Albolu Goes both ways. People should have respect for established characters. I fail to see what Brokeback Mountain has to do with Harry Potter , but I see how the filmmaker was trying to show some blossoming romance between Harry and Draco. I guess if that's your fantasy , whatever floats your boat. Just saying , you're gonna get fans that cry FOUL when they see you aren't being true to the characters as they were created and played out.

@darkmike333 The thing about fanvid, fanfic and fanart in general is that people can play with the characters whatever way they see fit and it's assumed that it's FICTION. Writing fiction doesn't mean that the real characters aren't respected. I haven't seen the kind of comments I've seen in this video in other videos about other not-canon pairings, so I'm starting to assume that this complaints aren't about being true to the characters, but about bigotry and homophobia, which is sad.

I was watching because I started watching fan fiction and i was clicking thew the related videos seciton. When I clicked i didn't know what it was. I admit I probally overreacted. I do that a lot with Harry Potter. Kinda of obbsessed. I just don't like it when they mix this up for some reason. And I know it has no reflection on the chareters.And I know I overreaced that night. I do that when im frusterrated and id had a hard day.Just I would be emaresed if one of those actors were me.wouldnt u?
