  • THis kid's good but there will never be another chris sharma.

    never.

  • wen he came down it was awesome!! he went so fast haha

  • x sh@rm@ iz teh b3$#

  • start em young! best way for a person to excel at anything!

  • a lot of the the little kids you see climbing v4s plataeu because they grow quickly and become heavier and more scrunched on the wall in a way that they arent used to and get screwed.... happened to my friend. i started climbing 9 months ago, im 15 im doing v3s, my friend is doing v5s but has been doing it much much longer like 6-7 years

  • get the yittle one...

  • I lead a 12a when I was 6..... well i mean that was ok but im just saying 0.0

  • not really that impressive.. i see little kids (4-6 years old) climbing the bouldering area and doing v0's with the help of their parents (pointing out holds, not holding them) and just the other day there was a 9 year old doing v4's.

  • you could maybe say next top climber, but there will never be another sharma.

  • come on people, any 4 year old who is active and has energy could do this.

  • @RichardTownshend0 i know right, i mean hes not a bad climber but he doesnt have amazing talent or anything

  • I watched this twice and Sharma never showed. Is he in the background?

  • What a ridiculous assumption.

  • I 1st watched the video w/ out sound, i read some comments seemed to be alot of negative feedback (GhandiOwnsYou, Nathaniel10694,CDpuffer,AlbaMate ) those R just the few that i read. So i went back 2 listen 2 it 2 see what they were talkin about. Sounds 2 me like there just a bunch of JEALOUS WANKERS! I have 3 kids all involved in sports and there R alot of parents coaching and cheering for thier kids. There r those times when the idiot parent does get out of hand. U WANKERS WATCH 2 MUCH TV!!!

  • You're a 2l

  • that a good start, but i don't think there will be another chris sharma but lets hope he meets his bars of limits. good luck :D

  • this dad is an idiot, love it when kids climb, but there is no place for soccer parents in climbing.

  • He is not the dad, the kid sign up for the class, and now after taking the class for one years, at 5 years old he climb 5.8, I am not pushing the kid, he just LOVE IT.

I hate pushing kids, if they don't love it, they moved on to something else.

But thanks on your comment anyway.

  • titles a little misleading...

i wanted to see the real chris sharma

  • haha, dads a little too much a cheerleader but the boy schooled it

  • argggg this makes me soooo frustrated.... just from this video title this is NOT what climbing is about....

  • what climbing is about having fun and pushing your self to the limit not being all technical when what do you think climbing is climbing the monkey bars ??

  • *sigh* These videos always make me slightly sad. the dad barking beta like it was a speed event or something. I love to see little kids climb. The second I see parental enthusiasm like that though, I get bad images of t-ball dads arguing with umpires and Football Fathers screaming that their son is going to the NFL. Let the kid be a kid and enjoy things without making it a performance epic.

  • I take it you don't have children. The child is four years old. Do you honestly expect the child to figure out his own beta? He's simply helping his kid. I have to do the same when my kids (who are three) try to climb up an awkward section of a playground - they can't always discern how to do it by themselves and the help of a parent can motivate them.

  • He belayed fine. kids alive right? Good job!!! I love to see young kids climbing.

  • all you guys that comment on these videos seem too hostile to be climbers...be chill, everbody's perception of climbing is diffrent, let people get what they want outta climbing....thats what makes it worth doing

  • He climbs, but it's his dad's happiness he's in it for. So when the rebelious state comes on, climbing is over.

Love the sport yourself and let them live off that.

  • How the hell do you know that ?

  • yeah that guy doesnt really belay that well its kinda sad that he is teaching that kid but at lest the kid is going for it

  • I know its a Gri Gri but learn how to belay.

  • Thats awesome!! wish my parents got me into climbing at that age!!!

  • I don't want kids but, I'm contemplating having one so I can have a great climber that wears those cool little kid climbing shoes. ahahahaha

  • haha thats awesome!

  • It's funny how many people feel threatened by a four-year-old and have to post negative comments. "I did that when i was little, too"..."He was getting beta the whole time"...whatever. I'm surprised I didn't see anyone slam him for not dyno-ing.

Obviously he has an excellent support system and as long as he really loves climbing (and doesn't spend too much time slamming others) he will be great.

  • when i was 4 i was freeclimbing 15's.

  • pffft noob

  • your mom

  • holy shit, this guy is really good for his age. how many people here could do that at 4?

    great job!

  • tommy caldwell toproped a 5.11 at age 6.

  • really hes not that great... you helped him onto the wall and the rope is tight enough to make it so he doesnt have to use any kind of muscle at all.. and hes not doing anything except maybe using regular motor skills that every 4 yearold has

  • If a four year old beasts themselves up a wall I really can't see that being any good for their muscles or joints in the long run, you don't want a child with a malformed spine or something like that.

    Looks good to me :)

  • yeah, because climbing compresses your spine. You're kidding right? Climbing helps correct back problems. do some research

  • most 4 year olds are stuck at home playing gameboy, u think that climbing is bad for you?

  • Its a video of a 4yr old U wanker

  • pretty nice but you have the rope always in tense so you are helping him really much so it is alot easier

  • do you know Adam Ondra, man?

  • Oh my god! He look fantastic, I am going to meet him in France for World Championship next summer.

He won this year in Australia!

  • Keep going and you will be the new Chris Sharma;)!!!!!!

  • Okay not that special. I work at a gym and do kids camps and a ton of kids can climb all the way up. And he was getting beta the whole time.

  • es inkreible k un crio de 4 años tenga los kojones de subirse ahi

  • dude there is this crazy 8 year old kid who can do V4/V5 at the gym I go to. It's awesome to watch him dyno for every hold, but they are huge in his hands. He's done a couple 3's outdoors. I think he may give this guy a run for his money lol!

  • kewl but as u all can see the dad always had him tense i mean the rope was always tense soo that helping him out but still impressive from a 4 years old

  • great

  • He's 4? That's insane.

  • wow, thats cool! im 20 and have been climbing for about 3 monts, and now i can do a 5.11a. The kid on the video will kick my ass in 10 years :S

  • he's better than the average adult

  • unbelievable.

  • well considering sharma didnt really start climbing when he was four, this is pretty impressive

  • this is impressive

ive been climbing for.. just under 4 years, im 15 now, and i can climb from high 5.12 to 5.13a on a good day.

all you retards saying that 5.8 is easy for a 4 year old are either idiots, or ignorant. although its not really sharma level, its still pretty impressive! :)

just dont push him too hard ;)

  • I only hope that even if your son does climb as hard as Chris Sharma does, that he will have the same state of mind as Chris. Don't push him too hard into a world of Ego, Some people dont think of their children as an income source..

  • he only whieghs 50 pounds and 5.8 is easy as hell

  • Yeah...

That is also very arrogant to say he will be the best.

Like are you going to push him to insanely?!

  • even if he does push the kid, it's not going to do nearly as much as if he loves it / pushes himself. :D

  • mmm why is that so special.

  • He climbing a 5.8+ and he is only 4years old. What can you climbing?

  • im 14,i started climbing 7-8 months ago,and i hand done any exercice for like 3-4 years, and can climb 5.11b-c's.

  • Wow, it's very impressive good for you!

This kid will climbing a 5.11 when he will be 9 or 10 years old.

Most of my teenager climb 5.11 to 5.13

  • are you being sarcastic?

  • cause he's 4yrs old DH

  • @ClimbingAddictt I doubt it

  • hahaha fred your an artard

    i think you mean
