When speaking of true Americans, people in recent times will come up with actors, celebrities, and rappers. When i think of the greatest American, i always come up with Harry Chapin. He perfected the American Dream in this song, he perfected the reason America is the land of the free. I am Canadian, and therefore harbour some small amount of dislike for America. But when i listen to this song, all i can do is stand in awe, of this man. Harry Chapin is a true hero.
