  • nice piece of american history, very nice

  • What a wonderful way to pass the time rain or shine!! I envy this group of old sourdoughs! Load another one for me gentlemen!

  • It has a reference to 2 Quake 1 sounds, 1 for the rocket launcher and the other for the 2-barreled shotty.

  • What the hel ya get friction promers in the U.S, no more? Dam shame

  • dear santa...

  • Wow, I love this, only watched 5 times so far. I want to wear a kilt on the field Capt Ralph Downs

  • I like the color of those coats.

  • Nice shots

  • Pretty Good for Yankees ! Nice video

  • @Hiramab1 Yankees were better gunners than Rebs.

  • @GeneralKenobiSIYE Not really but at Gettysburg the Rebs were pretty bad just before Picketts charge, everything went over the Yanks heads !

  • @Hiramab1 Actually yes. The Rebs lamented over and over having to attack a position defended by Yankee artillery. One even said "The Yankee three-inch rifle was a dead shot at any distance under a mile. They could hit the end of a flour barrel more often than miss, unless the gunner got rattled." Union Artillery was also a big reason Antietam was a draw. A Southern officer observed, "The combination of Yankee artillery with Rebel infantry would make an army that could be beaten by no one."

  • @GeneralKenobiSIYE In other words metaphorically, "Americans are best when they're on the same team" :)

  • @GeneralKenobiSIYE You're right but at First Manassas,Imboden's battery held off the Union advance on Henry House Hill. Union artillery had plentiful of guns during the war, that's the first reason why it was better.

  • Amazing accuracy. I'm shocked. Pleasantly.

  • Awsome

  • music is ashokan farewell

  • these quarter pounders are in pristine condition, that alone puts wowzers in my trousers....

  • Man what a great video!!! There is just nothing like firing real rounds. You all are fine shots! It is much harder than it looks.

  • Cool video!!

  • 00:14 looks like a polygonal rifled barrel? Does anybody know which type of projectiles and which amout of gunpowder was used?

  • 00:19 nice civil war period correct watch & ring.. anyway the song is called Ashokan Farewell. its played 25+ times in the series Ken Burns: The civil war. The song is post civil war. during reconstruction. so i dont see why. anyway. nice shooting it must have been fun to finally but a live round inside. It was a 3 inch ordinance rifle i belive. so id like to see a shot much farther than those targets. considering thats what it was made for.

  • That's impressive they really put the ball exactly where they want ...

  • They should have painted the barrels grey. LOL

  • love the music affect. its from gettysburg the movie, right.

  • @skullghost64

The music is from the PBS series "The Civil War" by Ken Burns.
