@alwells6 strictly speaking, it's a gay man who is fat and hairy. generally speaking, it is a gay man who, having reached middle-age, gives up on taking care of himself and lets everything go (weight, hygiene, facial hair, dress-sense, etc.) drinks beer, goes to (gay) sports bars, wears lumberjack shirts and trousers/shorts which are too tight. In the final stages they delude themselves into believing it's really a sexy look, and that anyone who doesn't look like that is "not a real man". ;-)
@alwells6 Forget what that guy told you! A bear is not someone who gives up taking care of himself!! Thats crazy! Its just the opposite of a twink (young, thin, no body hair). Bears are usually hairy, and are either very muscular or fat.
I love love love this show, but I've noticed that it's not as funny when there are celebrity guest...they aren't needed at this point, the cast doesn't need them!
This show is really great. One of my favorites along with Two and a Half Men. The writing is right there and topical as hell. The casting of Ed O'Neil is perfect. Al Bundy.....indeed. He freakin' nails it!!!!!
