The police in the states would beat your ass spray you with pepper spray and probably shoot one or two and charge them with assult on an officer if they were bit by a mosquito when making the arrest. @Hathor2006 Solution is there should be land set aside for the use of HL this land should have things needed to be sanitary running water place to shower keep warm it is a lot cheaper to do it this way than to put them in jail. The courts were not constructed for this stuff they were for real violaters people that were highway men If they force the HL into the woods that is what you would have all over again people that go into the woods and live on their spoils, they would be untraceable.

it seems the city has enacted a new bylaw prohibiting tenting or camping in public urban spaces between 7am and 9pm . perhaps this is a commendable, reasonable, honorable temporary accommodation. what an amazing Victory for human rights . congratulations !

the supreme court has given homeless people its understanding, and compassion . it has said that there must be accommodation - relationship - and respect given to the homeless in search of a place to sleep .

this is the asking of respect from both sides the police\city, and the peoples needing shelter

i am concerned "in their face" actions and demonstrations "demanding" "complete" compliance to the ruling will inflame relations, rather than promote relations toward accommodating relationship.

im proud of you guys for doing this. i lived on the streets in Victoria for 8 months, and the human rights violatios i witnessesed daily against the homeless by both cops and and the middle class were appaling

A 'temporary shelter' should not mean 9 pm to 7 am in the eyes of the law. A temporary shelter is a tent or a shelter made of any matrial, to protect one from the cold or the elements. That is a fundamental right. The city mis-used the word 'temporary shelter'.
