A McGill shout-out to you guys, my colleagues. This is a great site! Your videos should be required viewing for every kid who thinks they should go to law school because they like "Boston Legal". Your experiences bring back memories of 1L for me. In my year, they got 4,200 applications and accepted 170 of us. Four people dropped out in the first two weeks of school because of the gruelling grind. Oh yeah, and don't get me started on the stupid Bell marking curve.
Everybody says I would be a good lawyer since I am good at literature and english. How much writing is involved as a lawyer? Seems like it could be a boring job when you not in court.
Hopefully, I'll get into law school in the future. You guys inspire me. Oh & I love HSM too! My friends think it's lame that I, a 19 year old, loves HSM. But I do LOVE HSM! Anyways, I love your videos! Keep it up. Can you make a video about what kind of materials/electronics would be best for law school? Oh & by the way, you two make such a great & adorable couple! I would love to hang out with you two. Too bad I live in San Diego. Anyways, good luck in school! Can't wait for another video! :)
I'm taking criminal law classes now, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll practice criminal law. We're both taking lots of different types of classes to see what we're most interested in.
I study Law in England and we only get 3 hours to write our exams!!
I'm thinking of a career in Law in America once I graduate, but that means I'd have to do two law degrees... Do you know any International students who've made the move with a law degree under their belts? If so how did they go about it?
Doesn't sound like a good idea. Law is different in the US and in England. In fact, law is different in different states of the USA, so I guess American lawyers face some problems when just moving to a different state.
it's interesting how in your video after the first week, you guys are all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Then in this video, you guys look tired and sort of hardened. it's really creepy how law school affects the way you look. the same thing has happened to me. 1L takes away some sort of innocence that nothing else can take away.
Yay for Scrabulous!!! :D lo I'm in L1 too and my classmates and I are addicted to Scrabulous!! :D I love your blog btw...can really relate to your experiences and glad to know you survived exams...I certainly found them a real eye-opener! All the best for finals :)
Enjoying this 100%. looking into law school now and this is what i like is somthing by someone who is doing it. no production company nothing but the poor schmuk who is suffering through it. you get 5 stars from me.
Thanks for the recap. I'm at the start of my application process now and the books I'm reading are trying to scare me to death or scare me shitless. The fact that you keep your sense of humor going is encouraging. Good luck on 1.5L. Next post - tell us about your summer plans, if you've made any.
Glad your first semester went well. I enjoy your videos. I totally echo the sentiment on take-home exams. After doing wonderfully my 1L year, my 2L fall semester was all take-homes. It was terrible.
You guys are a really cute couple. (No Homo)
I'm a guy btw.
