This video is fun ~ and I have Meryn Cadell to thank for getting me to start buying CDs. I was a cassette guy (thank you very much) and resisted CDs for a while, then heard 2 of Meryn's songs on NPR one evening, went out looking for it the next day, and all I could find was the album "Angel Food for Thought" on CD. This was the first CD I ever bought. The year was 1991.

The truth of the matter (for fabric snobs)is that some materials are better than others - more authentic, rugged and true. And, if a guy is wearing acrylic, he can't be all you think he is!

100% wool is what you want!! Think about those classic fisherman sweaters or icelandic sweaters. Hope this helps.

I loved this song when it came out! It was so true to life for a teenager. I don't think I've ever seen the video! I think it's a hoot! You have to remember the era and the budget she was on.

I recently read a huge article on Meryn that says she's had a sex change operation, and while what she does with her own life to make herself happy is fine, I just feel the song has a little less impact on me now. Of course, I'm way past my teenage years now too, so it's not so traumatic. :)
