This is the commercial that got me interested in Chanel. I had never heard of it until I saw this commercial in 1990. It left such an impression on me, that years later, I started using Chanel products. Thank you, Jojo2407, for this trip down Memory Lane.

Used to air during special-"Crisis in the Gulf" w/ Bernie Shaw on CNN from 9-10pm EST B4 1st Gulf War. Remember seing it in late Sept 90.Ironic to show such a illuminating ad w/ great locales/cinemotgrphy and carefree, young, rich, and beautiful people enjoying life as compared to during show on CNN which was about ongoing dire stressful situation of Saddam and world crisis!

Yann, I checked several cover versions of this song and yes, you are correct this is Marty Wilde singing this song. Yea for you..! You have a good ear.

I loved this commercial so much, I got myself a similar black hat and black swimsuit to wear with black heels and pearl earrings. Going to try it with red nails.

the only thing i know about the woman in this ad is she was james bonds girlfriend in "for your eyes only". I had no idea she did anything before she did that movie.
