What sad if that the jesuit priest is correct. There is sanctification through the holy spirit that transforms the believer. At least on that point. What they really should debate about is why they think Mary the mother of Jesus is co-redemptrix in salvation. I would be much more interested to here that. To be saved is to make oneself daily available to God for that Salvation , until the day one dies. which seals the doom of the soul. Jesus said "If one puts the hand to the plow and looks backward, he is not fit for the kingdom of God" The idea of looking back, suggests belief is not enough. Believing one is pregnant does not make them pregnant.
