actually if u watch them jump from the highest spot there is an even higher spot about 15 feet higher up and to the right that my cousins and i always jump off

yea cool place west dollar is good too and every year we see some carzy dude jump off the other side from the mainland its a good 60 to 80 feet and its nuts and up in hague theres a nice place to go as well

I used to jump off the cliff on West Dollar back in the middle/late 70s. So cute seeing the little girl jump, reminded me of myself, but surprised people still let their little kids do that now. West Dollar is very close to the west shore. It falls between the main group of Narrows Islands and Black Mountain Point. West Dollar used to be a day picnic island, assume it still is.

We just came from a vaction in Lake George. We spent 3 hours out on the lake and had a great time. Does anyone live there? I saw a 5' floor lamp with 2 bears climbing it in some store on Canada Street and can't remember thew name of the store. The lamp was about $200.00. If there is someone from there could they give me the name of the store? My wife loved the lamp and I want to surprise her with it.

Great video. The music and screams capture the fun of the Calves Pen. I jumped the top at 18 and jumped again at 45. It felt higher at 45! And you have to jump out more than 10 feet to avoid landing in the tree branches sticking out from the cliff below. I've never gotten a consistent answer as to the height of the top, but I'd guess it's somewhere between mid-40s and mid 50s.

known as Calves Pen - if you know where Green Island is (the Sagamore) Look north east and see the Narrows, the bare mountains you see at east shore of the narrows is called Shelving Rock Bay - Calves pen is between Shelving Rock Bay Pilot Knob- just look for a crowd on the shoreline on any sunny day and you are there- best place in the world, and the water is almost 200 feet deep there- Enjoy it for life!

thats where the one i jump off of is....but make sure u follow someone up it can be dangerous climbing up....theres no trail and last time i went up there there was a snake by me .. type in lake george go to the 5th page and look at rope jumping then click rock diving or something at the end :-)

Yeah, Calf's Pen made me a little nervous, even though I did it quite a few times - just seems like you have to clear quite a bit of stuff to get to the water - one slip and you're gonna be dead or hurting!

Guess you know of no other cliffs - even higher - that is more of a drop off without having to clear ledges, stumps, trees etc., do you?

Yeah, yikes, does seem a bit crazy - my friend thinks I am nut for letting my kids jump off there, but then he lets his kid too. I only jump off the side, so clearance is not as bad, but you are right about clearance issues when going from the highest point. I actually found a video on the web of a guy jumping out of one of the trees obove that point!!! Don't know of any better places.
