Is this the corvette that was build for Dale Sr in 2001 that he ran at 24 hours of Daytona? I know his was yellow, just thought maybe Jr was finishing out his dad's commitments
no one really talks about it but this wreck has clearly changed him. He no longer has the "checkers or wreckers edge". He has turned into Kyle Petty who also didnt have that edge needed to be a front runner.
NEWMEXICOSUNSET have you ever driven a race car...you act as if your a professional...an we all have never seen you on tv nor do we know who you are so pls if you speak have some credibility...
That is why Jr. will NEVER see himself in a Corvette again.
And that is why I appreciate road racing more than the roundy-round. More to get right every corner of every lap. Brake points, turn in points, exit points. Every lap you are thinking 2-3 points ahead to where you need to be. Connecting the dots.
He may have upset the car over the curbing as well. So I may need to cut him some slack.
But still. First lap. Cold tires, cool track. And a practice session for Gosh sakes.
Trying to figure out what he did. I can hear some throttle applied after the upshift just before he spun. Looks like some tight corners. So he may have been trying to take a shortcut to the next apex and accelerate to the next apex. So I can assume it was the first lap cool tires on a cool track, and he didn't give the tires time to warm up.

This proves that NOOB CRAPCAR drivers can't drive in REAL racing.

@frambesbuckeye just so you know Jr has done this type of racing for years. even finished 2nd in the 2001 24 hour rolex race in dayona.

@Mr420woo Rolex is owned by CRAPCAR and isn't ALMS.
frambesbuckeye 1 year ago
i agree rolex went way down hill. they run the same cars since 2003 yet still call them prototypes. LMAO

@frambesbuckeye Grand Am is owned by NASCAR Holdings who inturn owns NASCAR. ALMS is owned by IMSA.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Dale Earnhardt Jr needs to stick to his redneck nascars.

the fuel cells are junk, he barley hit the wall.
winters19 3 years ago
it wasn't the fuel cell, it was the fuel lines leading from the fuel cell that failed.
