Is this game dead? I still play 2k4, and have been for like 8 years now. The spam / hitscan ratio seems to be balanced a little better in this game - but don't like the look of the sniper.

Calling them "shitty" players was really dumb of you. (FYI, instagib rifles are one hit kill, no secondary fire.)

This looks nothing at all like UT. Deck 16 used to be a cool map, now in UT3 it looks like the inside of a sewer.

They've ruined a great franchise. Instead of evolving the game into something greater and more beautiful (perhaps like Mass Effect 2), they've created a Frankenstein monster.

I very grudgingly bought UT2004-which thanks to the community, was made 'playable'. I'll probably do the same with UT3. But I'm frankly not impressed and am rather disgusted by the way it looks.

Not just the look, but the weapons and playability-seems like utter crap.

Like watching two colored blobs floating around with flashes here and there, fucking garbage.

They ruined the amazing shockballs-now it looks like exploding purple tar or something.

Makes you think, what the hell am I looking at? Why should I be excited about this bullshit? At least UT2004, the aesthetics are pleasing to the eye.

On second thought I might not buy UT3.

Never played this, played 2k3&4, they were okay games, people in them tended to get obsessed by their online rep and rage really hard when you destroy them simply because they dont "know" you. Can be some fun though in ig with boosting people for high speed caps.

One of the metal gear solid music in soundtrack but i cant remember whitchone. If i will think a little bit its more like a 4th part of this game because i have all soundtracks from first ever made to 3rd and it didnt reminds me anyone of those. This is main theme music. The main music thread is keeped but later its not like any music as i have. Look in metal gear solid sundtracks :)

Wow, wIz4 is a really impressive moviemaker. First with Wah Wah 9* (n1 nayan) and now this actually makes UT3 look like the game it was meant to be... it sucks to play with a bad fps and not many ppl play it anymore which is a pity, but on custom maps where fps is good I get a glimpse of what could be. I'd upgrade my PC if it was still worth it :/

I upgraded. And it feels much much better. It really is a mix of UT99 and 2k4. tbh I love the feel of UT3 now. I hated it on my old system. I just need to not let myself get addicted to it like I was all the other UT games.

It's not nice to lie, you know. These people are the best UT players in Europe. I was good enough to at least touch that bracket in 2k4 - probably not UT3. I at least know who were good in the NA/CA scene. But I've never heard of you, and neither has anyone else.

By the way, fov has always been dependent on the aspect ratio in Unreal engine games; not just UT3. If you want the same fov, just set it 10 higher than it is. And if you want to play on anything higher than ~105, then you're mad.
