  • THESE guys one of the best meat and Potato bands around?

  • This song is one of my favorites!!!!!!!!

  • Banshees born on the bayou.

  • Wah doo dayyyyyy

  • fantastico la mejor banda de todos los tiempos

  • Man John could sing.....

  • Que buen videoo!! Unos genios!! Aguante CCR...!!!

  • On the record I tend to skip this tune, but this live version is ballsier and it shows what a great band CCR was, and this is whats missing from Johns live shows now , no disrespect intended , those guys played so well together !

  • @MrZorrack Hate to tell you, but they are miming to the recorded version (by the way, one of the few bands that actually tried to do a good job of this. Most won't put the effort in.)

  • Simply awesome!

  • Noooo!! Why a playback??

  • Oh my, ...You can't get better than that! Thanks very much for this fabulous music.

  • The best music ever made.

  • Ray Charles is was a great artist, and ccr did this no wrong

  • Holy crap, that is tight, look at those Camco drums!!!

  • power voice

  • wayyyyyyy ahead of their timee !!!!

  • This comment is not just a "Oh the good 'ol days" kind of thing ... is a reality check. Have you noticed how in the 60's and 70's, 3 - 4 minutes were enough to make your mind fly and your spirit cheer? nowadays not even a whole discography of the new "musical prodigies" can achive that. What ever went wrong?

  • @superchivo1973 What ever went wrong? Well, for one thing, MTV. When music became more something to look at than to listen to, good music got started on its way out.

  • You say lady gaga, i say Led Zeppelin

You say hannah montana, i say AC\DC

You say owl city, i say Deep Purple

You say jonas brothers, i say The Rolling Stones

You say justin bieber, i say Queen

You say taylor swift, i say Guns & Roses.

95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if your one of the 5% left who still listen to real music, thunb this up, then copy and paste it to t least 5 video's. DONT LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK AND ROLL DIE

  • @fknde Two things are wrong about that list , 1.) there is obviously more than 5% who like this music considering I've seen that comment A BILLION TIMES, 2.) Why isn't Creedence on that list? Their better than any of the bands you named,

If you really want to get thumbs up go come up with your own comment instead of coping and pasting somebody else's

  • they are lip syncing on this version i think? the backup singers aren't standing nearly close enough to get picked up by the mic?? plus sounds like more people singing? where are the amps??

but yeah, so amazing....so many hits....so underrated even perhaps?

  • Muito bom!

  • Muito bom

  • this song makes me wana do the "Bill Cosby dance"

  • The King of rock, John Fogerty! What a voice!

  • Now I know: (Who-doo-day!)

  • Tom ans Stu are singing the backing vocals, what do they say while their singing?

  • @TeamMastaPr2 night and day

  • @TeamMastaPr2 is the original but ccr says wa-do-day

  • Jim Morrison, Eric Clapton, Doors and Cream all rolled into one.

  • Brilliant band. One of the all time greats. John Fogerty and Rickenbacker, what an awesome combination.

  • me gusta mucho la musica de estos grupos porqe me recuerda mi adolecencia

  • Irish, my da had their LPs, i knew every word of every song by 13 yrs old. 36 and still coming back for more, CCR are as a commentator said below the most underrated band to come out of USA from 67-75. In my eyes they are #1.

  • Deslumbrante talento unicos por siempre! Gracias por tanto y tanto!

  • Huragh

  • HOLYYYY F&**N SHIT... this is awesome... and i thought Ray Charles' one was epic..

  • Creedence Clearwater Revival ... A melhor banda do mundo!!! John Fogert é único e inimitável. Creedence é um Mito, não há e nem haverá nada igual!!

  • Big guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is music......

  • Incredible song... :)

  • 35 years of listening to the original, 30 years of playing live music. That's all. It's exactly the version from the album, right down to the guitar tone. It was common in those days to lip synch on TV.

  • Is this a cover of Ray Charles version: '(night time is) the right time' ? It is regardless a fucking good song performed very well

  • @kofflophs123 yup! in my opinion its better!!!!

  • They're lip-synching here, and you can tell they hate it. :D

Great band. Too bad Fantasy Records had to screw them.

  • @FlightGirls what makes you think they are lip syncing it doesnt look like it at all to me

  • @rdphippo Oh, yeah, and the fact that John overdubbed the backup vocals on the original, and the backsups are his voice. *smile* Not downplaying CCR at all, but, Fantasy OWNED his ass, he had to do it their way..... meh..... I mean, they sued him for writing songs that sounded like him. Uh.... WHAT? LOL

  • tis a fact that CCR is the absolute best!!

  • thanks for the music

  • Too bad CCR didn't have good backing vocals live. Johns' live vocal here is amazing! Man, what a talent!

  • fantastico!!!!!!

  • creedence clearwater revival the best

  • there becoming my new favorite band

  • unfuckinbeleaveable.

  • that's one hell of a drum riser!

  • i heard ccr lipsynced most of their songs live. i noticed that in some videos they are obviously lip syncing. someone please tell me that it isnt true!

  • kinda true. On the Johnny Cash show, it was kind of their rule that bands would lip sync, so when you see those, they probably are. But this? are you kidding....just listen to the voice, doesn't sound like out of a studio to me. Just good ol' John Fogerty

  • its true, just look at guitar. if it havent any wire, it is playbacked. but tell me. CCR made the best playback in 70´s. At least the drummer really played it.

  • The lead vocal is live but the backing is from the record (you'll recognise John's voice doing the massed harmony vocals all by himself by means of overdubs).

  • In the late 1960's and early 70's not many TV shows had the capability of having a band perform completely live. So some television performances were partially [or completely] pre-recorded. When they toured however they were kickass LIVE.

  • The back ups sound like pre-recorded John...but the song itself sure looks like it's coming straight from John's mouth! And no, CCR didn't lip sync most of their live performances. The Royal Albert Hall concert was as live as it gets for example.

  • and oakland?

  • Very true!

  • @Cainefan I doubt many bands used pre-recorded sounds for material that the band could play on their own back then, neither CCR, but TV apperances were often lip-synced etc. It's hard to tell what this one is, what with the video quality, but as you say, the backup vocals are definitely pre-recorded.

  • oh my god, what a voice. Thats almost impossible :-D. I will never understand how he can sing like that for a whole song and whole night.

  • Comment removed

  • @gungoe because he is a one in a kind and the best

  • @gungoe one of my favorite voices of all time,,,,,,,,,he somethang,,aint he...

  • hey thanks for uploading this rare gem!

what a hoodoo voice on that bayou bad boy! yeah i said it

  • it doesn't get any better than this - awesome beat, great guitar, unreal singing - they are top of the heap! They never got the recognition they deserved. I saw Fogerty last night in concert - he can still rock it out.

  • They got loads of recognition, hits, respect. Still do.

  • He's got the greatest blues voice!!!

  • definitely so! its a hard bitch to sing like that but nobody does it better than fogerty.

  • country not blues. Try howlin wolf.

  • No!!! Blues. This isn't country.

  • I meant his voice is perfect for country music not blues. Yes this song was done by a few old pre war blues artists like Mance Lipscomb, Lightnin Hopkins.

  • my fav john outfit is the red plaid shirt and leather pants!!!! LOLOLOLOLOL......they just make the 70's clothes work, man! they didn't need wardrobe people at all!

  • I like how John always seems to have

some checkered flannel shirt on in videos

that's cool! Just got their greatest hits CD in mail

    today :) !!!!

  • There arent many bands or singers around today that can do that! these guys were naturals and fuckin' awesome

  • CCR ist eine Super-Band!!

  • i heard those guitars are great and worth alot now a days but i dont like the way they look really, johns black and gold les paul is absolutley amazing!

  • creedence rocks

  • Thats a nice Rickenbacker John has.

  • Great song, but yaxcine, why can't you spell N-I-G-H-T?

  • Don't get me wrong, this is one of my favorite bands playing a great song that was always sort of overlooked. BUT given how TV shows were done back around '68 to '70, it's almost a given that this is lip-synched. I realize CCR was justly famous for faithfully reproducing their recordings in concert, but if you listen to the album track, this is a little too perfect. Not to mention the invisible amplifiers. Still, it was great to get another look at the band at their peak.

  • lol invisible amps were are the wires going then. its to set the stage

  • His vocal mic is live...you can hear him say something into it before his solo. I think the album track is a backing track here but he's also singing live. Otherwise the studio audience would only hear the drums live [which are obviously being played somewhat]. I've read somewhere that he often had his guitar amped for tv performances too.

  • If the studio track was played at concert volume from near the stage (using those nifty stealth amplifiers somebody mentioned ;-), mostly the audience wouldn't realize what had occurred. In fact, how would CCR know what was being recorded or sent out in the final feed to the networks? They'd need someone knowledgeable watching the process, and with the power to object. I doubt many TV shows would put up with that shit, but stranger things have happened.

Whatever... It's still a damn fine song!

  • they did they down on the corner vid also in this show

  • mighty

  • Man, I have never seen this clip, what is it from and is there more? Fogerty and the boys are great, the reason I have been playing the guitar and witing songs for 25 years. If you have more footage please post. Thanks.

  • Wow! I never saw this clip before. Amazing! Thank you!

  • Creedence is so fucking good, i don't know one bad song from they =p

  • ccr will alwayz kick ass no matter what song they play...they r just simply the best...and always

  • great c.c.r this song kicks ass one of my favorites you can't go wrong with a creedence song.

  • Freaking awsome!

  • Fantastic!
