  • Advanced task killer is a scam.

  • Terrible battery life

  • This guy gets a boner over angry birds

  • i bought mine today!!! but i have to wait for it to get shipped..its killing me lol!!

  • ive had this phone for about 6 months now. ive dropped it QUITE a few times. it took an unheard of amount of drops before the screen cracked. other than that, i like it a lot. it reboots the entire OS unexpectedly constantly. is there a way to avoid that? it may be the fact that it's been dropped so many times...

  • @bassallyear2 Yeah definitely, I'd say so

  • i got it for $50 today!!!!!!

  • @484046 Great deal! Hope you enjoy it :)

  • can i get your opinion on something? I have a Samsung mesmerize and I've had tons of problems with it, I'm going to trade it and get a new smartphone. Whats the best option with us cellular? I want something reliable and well made that will run ne app i have, thanx

  • @losersseekhelp I'd probably go with the HTC Hero S or the HTC Arrive

  • @losersseekhelp motorola electrify

  • Does it have a touch screen keyboard, also?

  • @RaeRae11210 Yes it does

  • HTC Merge or HTC Hero S?

  • @ohthatryah I don't really care for hardware keyboards so I'd say Hero S

  • What about battery life? How is it?

  • @QuackzVidz Shouldn't have a problem making it through a day one a single charge but you will want to charge it overnight

  • NO IT DOESINT THEY KEYS ARE LIKE THEY EVO SHIFT 4G

  • does it have the front camera ?

  • the phone is originally set to lowest resolution for camera and video. ( i didnt know if you changed them or not?)

  • What Colors Do the HTC Merge come In? Or is That It?

  • @MsJay8000 This is it

  • @mobitureblog Which is better this phone or the Samsung Galaxy Showcase ?

  • @MsJay8000 I'm not a big fan of HTC Sense or hardware keyboard so I would go with the Galaxy

  • does the gps part only works when you get the monthly plan or works in prepaid too?

  • @KamuiYato1 both

  • @mobitureblog i see, thnx

  • Got the merge now,,, had the mesmerize,,, MUCH better, The samsung had issues of locking up (battery had to be removed to get it to work) weekly and worse coverage. That said, he mesmerize did have a better display, but i need reliable over "pretty"

  • hows the music?

  • Can this phone act as a Wifi hotspot?

  • @Garrison2592 Yes it can

  • on us cellular website it says its a 1GHz processor, n u said 800mb, so which one is correct?

  • @mlodyusa Single core, Qualcomm MSM 7630 (800 MHz)

  • Htc Merge or Htc Incredible 2?

  • @MarcosXsernA I'm partial to phones without hardware keyboards so I would say Incredible 2.

  • @mobitureblog HTC Merge or MyTouch 4G Slide

  • HTC MERGE OR SAMSUNG MESMERIZE

  • @bogeman22 I prefer the Samsung Mesmerize myself

  • htc desire or htc merge

  • @bogeman22 I like the build quality of the merge better

  • hey, this, droid x, or droid plus?

  • @sail0r2 I'm probably go with this or the Droid X, I suggest visiting a store and trying out all of the phones.

  • how much is this phone in stores

  • @hoopsquad41life $149.99

  • Where can i buy this phone

  • @Simsfunmodel132 You can purchase it at a US Cellular store or online through their website

  • @Simsfunmodel132 You can purchase it at a US Cellular store or online through their website

  • Hey, this, galaxy or the evo shift?

  • @CrabbinAssNigga I'm partial to the galaxy s phones myself but that's just me

  • @mobitureblog Okay thanks man!

  • I have an htc desire and I saw the merg in the store the other day and I thought I would like to get it I like phones with keybords like that so I was wandering if their basicly the same sep for one has the slide keyborde

  • Does the phone come equipped with adobe flash?

  • ive heard rumors there will be an update from froyo to gingerbread, does anybody else know if this is true?

  • hi umm i have the mesmerize and i was wondering if its better then this phone over all cuz idk but i love the mmesmerize alote so please help just in general

  • hi there,

well i cant realy decide between this one and the samsung mesmerize. my first choise was the samsung infuse on at&t, but mt mom said i had to stay on us cellular. im mostly going to text ,go on the web alot, and play apps like angry birds. SO i cant realy decide . Wich one do you suggest i buy?

  • @DxNinga103 I prefer the size and shape of the Mesmerize personally, plus it has a nice Super AMOLED screen. The Merge is a great phone but I don't really like hardware QWERTY keyboards and I'm not a big fan of HTC Sense.

  • Hello, I am looking to get a smartphone from us cellular and am debating between the HTC 7 pro and this. I want something thats best for social networking, browser, and widgets. Please reply back on your opinion. Thanks

  • @DelusionGB As far as the browser and social networking go both phones will be very similar but you don't really get widgets with the HTC 7 Pro. I've reviewed both devices on this channel and they are both very good

  • @mobitureblog i was wondering how do you get your review units i really want to start doing reviews thanks

  • @nicholasarden I contact companies PR departments

  • I might get my 1st android phone. I am currently a basic phone user. So I am currently comparing the HTC Wildfire S, Milestone X and this one. Which one you will suggest?

  • @OeDiSa I'd go with either this or the Milestone X

  • i dont know if you know but if just for reference. with pushing the home page twice to pull up where it shows all the different pages you can also finger pitch the screen like your trying to zoom

  • evo vs merge

  • htc merge or motorolla milestone x?

  • @snapplechick716 They are both going to be similar as far as performance goes. If you like widgets and wants a hardware qwerty go with the Merge. If you want something thinner with a larger screen go with the Milestone.

  • @jrd1998 Neither had any issues

  • @jrd1998 Personally I prefer the slimmer form factor and I'm not a big fan of HTC Sense. I also prefer an onscreen keyboard to a hardware QWERTY.

  • @jrd1998 I prefer the Mesmerize

  • @520423007 Definitely go with the Merge, it's way better than the LG Ally

  • @jrd1998 They are practically the same phones except one runs WP7 and the other Android. I'm more partial to WP7 so that would be my pick. I suggest visiting a store and trying out both.

  • @TubbyGerman the merge has all three; touch screen keyboard vertical and horizontal and the keyboard

  • How's the battery life? That's what I'd like to know.

  • @YoungSage04 It should get you through the day with no problem but you will want to charge it at the end of the day

  • Comment removed

  • @TubbyGerman They are close in specs but I prefer the Desire simply because it does not have a hardware QWERTY keyboard. There is nothing wrong with the keyboard on the Merge, I am just partial to touchscreen keyboards more.

  • Mien has a faulty touchscreen, spazzes like it has a mind of it's own... Getting replacement soon.

  • @GenTristan Sorry to hear about that, hope your replacement is fully functional!

  • @mobitureblog The ironic thing is, I checked my email and am replying using my new unit!

  • can it connect with your pc ? transfer pics and videos both ways ?

  • is this phone worth getting?

  • @crazymandipper Yeah I think so, I recommend visiting a US Cellular store and checking it out

  • @mobitureblog between the merge and the samsung mesmerize, which one would you recommend? im going to be using my phone for a little bit of everything. ill be doing a lot on the internet, a lot of texting as well, a lot of use. basically the only thing i wont use on it is music. suggestions?

  • @RicerEater1978 I prefer the look and feel of the Mesmerize compared to the Merge

  • @mobitureblog is there any real noticeable speed diffference between the 2? i love the looks of the merge but the technologically, the mesmerize is more advanced. wish there was a way to put the screen, processor, and camera from the mesmerize into a merge. lol

  • @mobitureblog

Does it have GSM Support so I can use SIM card or it is CDMA only ?

  • @adroit786 No unfortunately this is CDMA only

  • @adroit786 the new merge does support a sim card

  • @nicholasarden This model is CDMA ONLY. This is for US Cellular and is not the global version.

  • @mobitureblog look at this i got this right from us cellulars website

"If you travel outside of North America frequently you can stay in touch with the HTC MergeTM, HTC's Global Ready Android phone. Connect to Wi-Fi Hotspots for data or purchase a prepaid SIM card for service with a carrier abroad. Simply insert the SIM card of the carrier into the device and you are ready to go with a local phone number"

  • @nicholasarden What I am saying is that this device will not work on GSM carriers here in the states, which is where I assumed most people watching this video would use it.

  • @mobitureblog why not

  • @nicholasarden Because its data bands are locked here in the US

  • @mobitureblog i just got off the phone with uscc and they said that you can use the phone with a sim card in the us where the uscc service does not work

  • @mobitureblog Just a suggestion... Correct it does have a 800 mhz processor , but it is the second generation processor in it so it is faster than all the recent 1ghz phones. You say it's slower in your video. Good review otherwise though!

  • just a heads up : you said the merge has a 800 mhz processor, but it is the second generation qualcomm processor. It is faster than the standard 1 ghz processors like the mesmerize, etc. IT IS FASTER :)

  • @stokke25 It does have an 800MHz processor, I receive exact specifications from the carriers when I receive review units.

  • just a heads up : you said the merge has a 800 mhz processor, but it is the second generation qualcomm processor. It is faster than the standard 1 ghz processors like the mesmerize, etc. IT IS FASTER :)

  • nice review man!! this is def the best phone for us cellular! too bad i cant afford the plan! lol ..

ps. what region are you in cuz ur phone says its 97 degrees!! thats a hot one!! lol

  • @CDJurgens13 Thanks! I live in Oklahoma and it gets pretty hot here in the summer. Thankfully I'll be in San Diego the next few months so much cooler temperatures.

  • You are probably my favorite tech reviewer, I just forgot to sub for so long!

  • @firebolt120 Thank you I appreciate that!

  • Does the battery life suck? I have the Samsung Acclaim and the battery life is horrible. I am going to get this phone. The review was awesome!!!

  • @COD4NoScopeBeast12 It's not horrible but definitely not the best. Handsets with HTC Sense on them tend to run down faster than Android phones without it.

  • @COD4NoScopeBeast12 lol i have the samsung acclaim and i completely agree! im getting this phone tomorrow

  • Merge vs mesmerize? I get a new phone tomorrow which one should I go for? I dont care about the keyboard. Other then that which phone runs better? and has a better software? HTC sense vs Galaxy s?

  • @paras1486 im deciding between the same exact phones... im getting mine tomorrow, except that i do like qwerty keyboards

  • Nice review, honest opinions and great voice. Too bad the link to that private video doesn't work :) You still get a like from me! :D

  • @ZeroHeroVids Thanks for the heads up, I got the link fixed!

  • Nice review Ryan. Looks like a solid phone and I like the qwerty keyboard.

  • @ZeTutorials Thanks!

  • Keep up the great work Ryan :)

  • @Theworldoftechuk Thanks I appreciate it!
