  • Great song. I wish it was on iTunes.

  • i love this version.the other version i uploaded in full to my page.on yutube.and it is the whole hey hey its the 70s show...HEY HEY ITS WEDNESDAY ON FACEBOOK.

  • What a great time the 70's were, beats the 80's, 90's & 20>, remember this when I was a kid and loved it back then and still sounds great.

  • What a remarkable voice. What a remarkable choir. Such beauty.

  • The full 5 minute 58 second version of Colleen's greatest hit - remastered and as good as the day it was released and its in stereo

  • What a voice. Amazing.

  • @leahmhaines61 me too!!!

  • Thanks for this, beats my old scratchy 7" by about 90% :-).

    Cheers.

  • Thank you for posting! Love this and love Colleen. The best version fo this by far. You've made me soooooooooooo happy! :-)

  • Thankyou so much for uploading this, I've been searching on and off for years and only ever found a version Colleen did on Hey Hey. You wouldn't happen to have her recording of "Carry That Weight" would you?, I lent mine to someone and never got it back.

  • @markindundas - sorry Mark, don't have that one - but if I come across it I'll post it

  • @MrPurser Thankyou so much, I've tried everywhere, online, cd shops, compilation albums etc, and can't find it anywhere.

  • @markindundas - there's a wesite called 'musicpophits' which has a page on Colleen with the ability to listen to the songs - "Carry that Weight" is there so you can at least listen to it

  • @markindundas I have also been looking for the full version for years...Thank you Mr Purser for sharing...Colleen had a spectacular voice.....a pity her career never hit the high notes her voice did.

  • @markindundas One of my favourite songs...wonder where she is now

  • fair enough Mr Purser - such a shame as it was a great recording.

  • I'm sorry but John French the original engineer would be appalled at the remastering job, just adding tissy digital top end is not remastering!!

  • @janama77 - whilst I have remastered a couple of tracks myself, this comes off a Sony CD called "Boppin' the Blues", one of their "Australian Pop of the 70's" series and the remastering on that is credited to Richard Spears - unfortunately years of playing the 45 ( which is mine ) have left it less than pristine so I couldn't do much to improve it - the CD sounds a lot better than that does..

  • @janama77 Can you seriously judge how good (or bad) anything sounds on YouTube regardless of its source? You're listening to something that is less quality than a standard 128kb/s MP3.

  • thanks for put it on you tube

  • Fantastic! Excellent quality. Thanks for posting
