The padding is alright. It does a good job of protecting your system.

Club Nintendo normally ships items pretty quickly so you shouldn't have to worry about it taking too long unless they're out of that item.

Is it very difficult to zip the zipper with the DSi inside the case?

No, it's not, it's just that I was being a litte TOO careful no to scratch the DSi. You don't need to be that careful though.
