  • wow, the first time I've ever seen women dancing in an donso ceremony, this is in Burkina, right?

  • Its a donsongoni aka "hunters harp"

  • right on! man, this is the way we should all be living on this earth. look at the true nature depicted on these guys expression! this is almost non-existant here in america. wow, the original mankind still exists, how refreshing

  • excellent video! I love it!

Where exactly is this? I have a CD featuring Senoufo hunters music from Oulonkoto near Orodara ("Eloges de la confrérie des chasseurs Senoufo Tagoua, Burkina Faso", Peoples label). It sounds just like this, I think I can even recognize one song. In the booklet it says "donson n´gòni" so no difference to the commonly known names.

  • Africans and African music are just amazing - I love this stuff so much! Thank you for posting.

  • Wow! These guys really jam out! And that hunter's outfit sure is sweet. What a way to spend an evening! I wonder how old this song is...

  • I understand that it may actually be a new song.

  • yeah they were jamming..great performance

  • This is indeed, an impressive performance of dance and songs. What powerful musical instruments! We must preserve our ancestral cultures. In fact, ancient ancestral cultures are and must be eternal just like our ancestors, life and the universe.

  • good thinkin wish many more saw things that way
