Area's have really been linked to instruments and atmoshperes by games you know :) Dark Chorincle for example uses similar music for sewers. Most games use similar instruments for area's and themes such as industrial / forest etc. It should be in some award book to make that big a change to how we perceive music and environment.

The sound of water adds to the atmosphere of the music; just like the train sound effects on the Phantom Train track from Final Fantasy VI.

They should do more of those. It really adds a lot to it.

I agree, but do you realize how hard it is to have an infinite loop of like a 1-2 second sample that doesn't get annoying after 10 seconds? The sound of water, even if it is emulated, is one of the few things that don't get so annoying.
