It's based on a scene from the movie TWO WOMEN. The movie is about a mother/daughter who were raped by Moroccan troops in WWII.
The French Army used Moroccan tribesmen called "Gourmiers," in place of regular troops, because the tribesmen were used to mountian warfare. When the Gourmiers reached Montecasino they raped and murdered hundreds.
The Gourmier atrocities have been left out of most history books.
The movie she fantasizes stepping into is La Cioercca, or better known in America, as Two Women, starring Sophia Loren- who won an Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in 1962.
@outinsider "Ciociara", is the correct title. This word mean "inhabitant of Ciociaria". Ciociaria (Italian pronunciation: [tʃotʃaˈɾiːa]) is the name of a traditional region of Central Italy.

this scene is so sad :( It's genius how they contrast the sweet gestures with harsh words

@outinsider the movie is called LA CIOCIARA. Here in Italy was a masterpiece. the dialogue in Precious is a parody of the original dialogue.

I'm sorry for the misspelling. That film is a masterpiece. Sophia Loren was just amazing in that role.
