  • I´m so sorry you put here videos you are not satisfied about. Really my fault....

    oh, no, wait. I´m not sorry. You´ve written you´re a prefectionist ...

Anyway I still think that the song is pathetic and I can´t change my opinion just because you can´t stand some criticism.

  • @dojczland As I mentioned= some people have nothing else to do.... So keep on complaining if it gives you some satisfaction...*)! But do it somewhere where you find people who are also unsatisfied and want to complain= there are tons of them which you can find on the internet.

  • god, I can't stand this song...

I like the frames chosen to this video but... this pathetic song...

  • @dojczland if you would be a bit more bright, and if you would have something else to do, then writing pathetic comments, you would have read the other comments and my own statements. Some people have nothing else to do than complaining.

  • I don`t know, something is really wrong. I thing the song opens/shines back only a part of the strenghtness of Spellbound. It cuts away something strong( though some moments are really good). It cuts away something really surreal, something really 'Hitchcock', really 'Dali', cuts some mystery....

  • I have looked at other edits of this and I like your version the best. It really highlights the strange and wonderful pairing of Hitchcock & Dali. Thank you.

  • @IdEyeOne

Thank you very much..*)) Although I was not completely satisfied. I prefer my Marnie Version much more!!!

Are you into Hitchcock in general or more into Dalí?

  • @AilenRocB

I was looking at Dali stuff when I found your work. But I am a Hitchcock fan. The last shot of NxNW, as the credits roll, is part of the inspiration for my little phone app. It is, of course, easier to access Hitchcock's work than Dali's.

Again, I liked very much the way your edit highlights this rare pairing of artistic talents & visions. The song really works, and just the fact that this song was in your thinking confirms to me that you are quite well versed in cinema. Bravo.

  • @AilenRocB

Posted the link today - hope it brings you a few new fans.

  • @IdEyeOne This is really cute of you, but I am really, honestly not searching for fans..*))

If people appreciate what I do it is my pleasure, if not - sorry to say so - I honestly don't care. If I would look for fans I would do something commercial.

  • The scenes where he is recalling what he remembered is very sort of freaky. In a cool, abstract kinf of freaky though... this is good.

  • Do you mean the key-scene when he remembers everything on the ski?

  • this music fits perfectly

  • Thank you. As I mentioned I am not really satisfied. Not only because of the music, but if I make a Trailer, I want it to have it's own drive= it's not bad, but I did not fulfill my standards which I have for a highly respected director as Hitchcock.

  • DALI!!

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE DALÍ!!!!!

  • People are giving you crap about the music. I never considered Streisand worth even a second of my time. Thanks to you, I have a new appreciation. Proves that one shouldn't be too judgemental, lest one miss out on good stuff!

  • NO= it is really not because of the opinion of some people about the title song= the editing it self is also (technical) good. But it can not really stand alone. The trailer I made about Marnie for example has its own drive and I am totally satisfied with the result. There is only one lil mistake in it= the last shot I should have made just 3 seconds longer= as I say I am a perfectionist...*))

  • BTW= all the clips had 5 stars= it was only a guy who wanted to start a personal feud with me and put all my clips on low!! You see= the stars on you tube dont have any meaning (similar to the oscars...*))

  • AH would appreciate what you did here. If he were alive, he'd make you a job offer. Of course you know that Selznick was an über-kontrol freak and forced Hitchcock to do things not up to AH standards. Nevertheless, REBECCA, Sabotuer, and this favorite of mine are, IMO, spectacular sucesses. People ask me my favorite Hitchcock. How can one possibly choose? I confess that Psycho has never held an appeal, though. It is the singular departure from the Hitchcock "formula".

  • I have to say I just love Psycho. In several ways it is kind of a milestone in film history. And it is even quite a mystic film with the symbolism of stuffed ravens & the way the camera catches the face of the young Perkins & gives him the look of a raven, to show his 'dark sides' & hang ups. And elements like trans sexuality, incestuous relations, necrophilia.. In those years it would have been a pleasure to play with these taboos...*))

  • I have to watch Spellbound and Psycho for my Psychology class and answer questions about them. =)

  • AND: WHAT did you find out?

Maybe its too9 long of an answer here...?

  • Kind of. I found out a lot of things, but mostly it's just my opinions that answered the questions. I turned in the papers and never got them back, and since it was a few months ago I really couldn't answer that without them in front of me. It was interesting though to look at it.

  • 3:34 SCAAARY !! Was hoping you had included that.

  • I just realized you even saw the 1 'edition' its even 'worse' than the 2nd one= I guess I am very (self) critic= if its not 'perfect' - and I dont mean perfect in a hermetic way - I cant really enjoy it.

  • Wonderful result. At the beginning and toward the end, I like the music. But the transition from such dark, stark chords to the vocals comes off a little clumsy. I think that may be the reason you say that you aren't completely satisfied.

Thanks for making it, though. Its cool that you condensed the most important scenes together. If "Spellbound" was lukewarm coffee, this is hot espresso!

  • Thank you...*)) I am always grateful for constructive criticism= I cant say that I really gave 100%.. maybe 60= and this is a shame cause its such a important picture for me!! I REALLY have to do another version. Are you editing yourself?

  • Only audio collages. I'll eventually try my hand at it. You are much to hard on yourself!! My therapist (talking about my planning and administration of my life, but equally applicable here) suggested that instead of trying to *engineer* perfection, that I should, instead, try the approach of a gardener. Plant many seeds and devote effort to the most promising result. Don't worry about the end result--you have extreme talent. You just need to let go and experiment. Cheers:)

  • whats the song title?

  • This is the titel song of a 70th fashion-thriller. The song is named after the movie 'The Eyes of Laura Mars' by Barbara Streisand.

It caused much more commotion than the clip..*))

But as I mentioned: I am not really satisfied with the whole clip as such.

  • what's

    with the crap music?

  • Hey Dear; WHY this aggression? Didn't your Mom teach u some manners?*)) Sorry, but I can't take anyone serious who want's to criticize & reach me in such a primitive way. BUT: since I do have some manners I will answer u anyway although if u would have read the comments u would know that I'm not satisfied with the whole clip as such.

The idea was: SINCE the whole picture has something quite tacky (= tacky in a way I like) I also had to choose some tacky/corny music. I hope you had fun anyway..*)

  • The "spiked fence" scene is at 4:27

  • HMMMM? What do you mean?

I don't really understand the comment..?

The fence scene in this clip? Why is it important?

  • I wrote a little article on spiked fences and death in fiction and real life. Over at jahsonic wordpress blog.

  • Power of the dead over the living through guilt.

  • YA: like in several Hitchcock movies.

Dead people have the power we allow them to have, I think.

  • Yes! Thats from "Vertigo".

  • What is from Vertigo?

  • Not sure about Barbara!

  • I think I know what you mean...*))

I am not satisfied with the whole clip anyway... But since this is one of the most important picture for me I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT...*))

  • do you have any idea where i can find a good website that i can watch the whole movie, without having to download it?

  • I don't know what happened to my answer...strange= it just disappeared..*))

Why don't you want to download it? With a movie like this which was 1000 of times on TV you don't have to have a bad conscious...*))

I just know stage 6 & quick silverscreen, where you can watch movies online..

Stage Six is closed as far as I am concerned.

    * HAVE FUN WATCHING IT *

    * C *

  • This is great! Really good work!

  • Thank you for the compliment...*))

  • Fantastic edits and music!!

  • THANK YOU, Dear!! It's soo funny, because I just watched it myself the first time since I uploaded it and recognized some lil flaws of course..*))

I am still much mor satisfied with the Marnie version I made= I don't know exactly why, but I have got the feeling that it has much more depth and power...!?

    Are you into editing yourself?
