  • It's the battery. Mine did that too. Replaced battery and now it will go for 2 hours.

  • I have the same model and mine is doing the same thing. Ive had it on the charger and it will act like it wants to go but then it just shuts down right away. It wont even back up off the dock anymore. Did yours end up being the battery or what?

  • According to Wikipedia: "If at any time the unit senses that it has become stuck, no longer senses the floor beneath it, or it decides that it has worked its way into a narrow area from which it is unable to escape, it stops and sounds a mournful tone to help its owner find it."

  • Dead battery. In my xe I have to use a dirt dog battery as the original battery is dead. New ones retail around £49.99 or so direct from iRobot.

  • well sadly your roombas motherboard is dead

i know because i would have this problem: roomba charged for 4 days pulsing and the light turned green and roomba didn't power on because while roomba charged it acculay

broght the battery to 3 volts

  • if its not the battery than its done but can;t find the docking station. mine does that if it cant find a way out of a room to get back to the charger.

  • Either you need a new battery or you need to charge it. After charging if it does the same replace the battery.

  • Don't dig a grave for your Roomba, my friend. Charge it!

  • its dead! charge it!
