it seems like garmin has ONE marketing guy. I see this guy present almost all garmin products (watches, handhelds and the like lol). I LOVE garmin gpses though
@cactaylor4: I myself did not do. I did 420 km with around 1500 of climb in 15:45 h inclusive pauses i tried the 600 but i had some problem and gave up. My friend completed the 640 km (~5000 m of climb ) ride in 27 h with the Oregon.
Two weeks ago we together did a 24 h bike race at the Nürburgring and we as a team did 660 km and 13000 m of climb in 24 h and we placed 10th.
Short before the finish i met a rider who did the single competition. He rode 630 km 12500 m climb and placed 2nd.
18 Hours is good ... So it is good for about 360-450 km if cycling.
2 things i would like to comment. For larger rides like 600 km i would like a battery extender as an add on and for a vacation where i ride mutiple days after another i would like to have some device to download the tracks without a computer. My forerunner 205 can only store 3 days of track before deleting the rest :(
@cactaylor4 only because you can't it doesn't mean others can't . Now i have the Oregon. It has exchangeable batteries. You can ride as long as you like then.

@sven31415 : 614,5 km and 5400 m of height difference in 24:20.30. Is that close enough for you?
