@agent458 I think most of us use many of those terms to describe AIR & ZERO 7 type music, but I don't think theres really a set genre or category for this stuff anymore.. I remember back when I still had 2 big music stores near me (TOWER Records & VIRGIN Megastore) this kind of stuff would be put in the "DANCE" section. The only other sections were ROCK, RAP, JAZZ, CLASSICAL, & SOUNDTRACK. About the same as with any other music stores that still exist today. The main categories are way too broad

@agent458 Well I wouldn't say TECHNO or TRANCE or AMBIENT exactly, but there are elements of AMBIENT I guess... Wikipedia describes AIR's genre as "electronica / downtempo / ambient / chill out". AIR has a wide range of styles going on, yet they always sound the same, but in a good way... they have their own unique style. Music is getting harder & harder to put into categories. Maybe because some of it is changing so fast that we keep having to make up new genres / categories... chillwave...
