How to make a Windows movie maker file to a WMV

Whenever I click the "save to my computer" button under the finish movie tab, WMM freezes and becomes unresponsive. Can anyone help me?? I've tried it like 10 times now.

What about when you've got 40 gb free space, and it doesn't want to save, the files are in the right place, nothing wrong with hard drives, plenty of space, files aren't missing or deleted then what? it only seems to save it if it's below 5meg or so, but cant save a 60meg file, why's that?

you may have a corrupt file. go through it and save it in parts, that way you'll be able to find the corrupt file an change it, then it will save ^^

Alright I'm REALLY annoyed because this video took alot of time to do. I try saving and it comes up with all that usual crap and stuff. Then I go check how much memory I've got left and it says 54GB. Then I check how much space the movie would take up and it says 17MB. I then try saving the movie and it doesn't bloody work. ALl the clips are still there, and all that stuff. Can someone PLEASE help me with this???

its not that easy , if it were , we wouldnt ask .

most likely the dvd recorder saved it to a different file , it needs to be converted form a software that can be purchased do not try to get it free , waste of time . if you are trying this for the first time , try a sample that is provided on the computer ., its that easy , if you try to import and it want bad file does not recognize it .

im thinking either your video is too big for it to process, or you have a corrupted file in the video you made this could be the music, video, pictures or sound effects.

hmm i get same thing but wen u put on ati 1 i think it is it works but wen u upload on youtube it will say uploaded but never will and go 2 ya video after about 30 mins and it will say invalid file format...

At 0:36 when I try to save it all it does is say ''It can not be saved to the location, verify that the original source file are still available. That the saving location is still available and that there is enough free disk space.''

I have more than enough free space and the location is always available, the original source files are avialable. Can someone please tell me what has happened.

i have a newer version of version of movie maker and the one time this happened to me, i fixed it by reattaching my camera and then hitting verrify or something but i don't know if that will help esp if you have older version because it's different than the new one

ohh i know whats the problem there are 2 things that could be it.

1) your songs are corrupted

2) make sure your songs are WMA ( windows media audio) or mp3 dont use songs that are converted for ipod cos they dont work ^_^
